Introducing...Dr Ogbonnaya Onu gym
Dr Ogbonnaya Onu gym is a gym that is inside Dr Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic and it is owned by the school. It is newly introduced to the school by a visionary and sports lover, the Rector of the polytechnic. It was added to the sports department in the school and it is headed by Mr Francis Akobundu who is also a brother to my course mate back in the days we were still in school. The Hod is familiar to me. I only needed to properly introduce myself to him. I did that and he warmly welcome me and gave me his brother's contact for us to be in touch again after a long time.
Apart from Mr Akobundu, there is also an internal coach for the gym as well as the external instructor who they invited from outside to do the daily coaching of the clients. What I mean by internal and external instructors is that, the internal instructor is a staff of the school while the external instructor is not a staff. All the while I have been in the gym, it has always been the external instructor that is taking classes, and assisted by me. Though the other instructor sometimes comes around to see how things are going.
The sports section has both outdoor and indoor sports section. There is the volley ball court, the laun tannins court, the basket ball court and the football pitch. These ones are outside the building where the gym is.

Then inside the gym, there are a whole lot of equipments including the following
Trampolines: this gym equipment is used for trampoline programs. It mostly for aerobics and leg exercises. One climbs on top and start with the programs. It is made in a way that it bounces one up and down. One needs great coordination and strength to be able to make use of it. There 6 of them there but we haven't used them ever since I joined. I only brought it out and uses when I wanted to.
Then we have the benches that are used for bench press. We have 3 different kinds, the one that one can hang barbell and press and the one that ones can use for dumbbell press up.. I have used these ones severely. I do join the men in carrying weights.
