My Experience at Peshawar BRT – Gulbahar Station
Gulbahar BRT Station- Peshawar
Public transport is one of the most important needs of every city. Peshawar is one of the most populated city of Pakistan. There are many publich transport services, BRT is one of them. Today I traveled in it and explore many things about it and now I am going to share all with you guys. I hope you will also enjoy traveling with me through pictures and words. So let start our journey. In Peshawar, the BRT service has made traveling easier, and more comfortable. Today, I am sharing my experience of traveling through the BRT, especially at Gulbahar Station, where I took different picture and observe many facilities.
Starting My Journey:
I started my journey from a bus stop near our colony. The stop is on the main road. When I arrived there, no one was there, I sat and waited for the bus.
After few minute, the bus arrived and i sat in it. the bus started moving forward. On the way, it picked and dropped passengers from different stops. After some time, the bus entered its route, which is only for BRT buses and not for other vehicles. This makes the travel faster because there is no traffic on that route.
Reaching Malik Saad Shaheed Station:
The bus stoped at Malik Saad Shaheed Station. I get off there and went inside the station. I waited for another bus that was going to take me to Gulbahar Station. While waiting, I observed how organize everything is.

At Gulbahar BRT Station:
Finally, I reached Gulbahar Station. This place had many facilities which I captured in my pictures:
Entrance:
The station entrance looked clean. It is one of the station where people follow the rules and everything is organized.
Ticket Counter & Ticket Machine:
There was a counter for tickets from where people buy tickets, check balance and recharge their cards. There was also a ticket machine that looked very similar to an ATM machine.
Biometric Device:
I noticed a biometric device on the wall, which shows how technology was being used for security.
Card Scanner:
Before entering in the bus , people had to scan their travel card at the scanner machine.
Signboards:
Different signboards were there on the wall, some showing bus timings and others giving important instructions.

Waiting Area:
There is a waiting area in every station. When people scan their card and the bus has not arrived, they wait there.Chairs were placed in the waiting area for passengers.
Digital Screen:
While waiting for my bus, I was observing the station and facilities in it. I saw a digital screen near me. On the screen, different types of advertisements were running. It gave the station a modern look. For security, cameraa were also installed inside the station as well as in the buses.

Tuck shop:
Like every BRT station, there were two tuck shops in Gulbahar Station. Different types of snacks, cold drinks, water bottles, candies were being sold in them. The tuck shops were also clean and well organized. I went to see and bought some snacks for myself, then enjoyed eating them while going back to home.

Exit:
In every station, there are two exits. One of them usually has a flyover bridge from where one can see the view of both sides of road.
Apart from it, there were also many facilities like drinking water is available in the station. The filter was placwd on a corner and glasse were there so people can drink water in it.
Also, the electricity facility provided comfort to people as in summer, people waitig for buses sit under fans in thw waiting area.
I was really impressed by the cleanliness and management of Gulbahar Station. Everything looked proper organized, and the facilities were helpful for passengers. In comparison to other normal bus stops in the city, the BRT stations provide more facilities to public.
The Peshawar BRT service is truly a big step towards modern transportation in the city.
I really enjoyed my short journey and i hope to travel more on BRT to explore other stations.
All the pictures and experience I have shared here are capture and observe by me while I visited to Gulbahar BRT station in Peshawar.
