Let's also learn about "Inwangsan Mountain" near "Ansan Mountain" I introduced. :)

Inwangsan Mountain

Inwangsan Mountain is a mountain that spans Jongno-gu and Seodaemun-gu in Seoul. The entire mountain is made of granite, and there are many rocks of strange shape, so it has various names. There are Seonbawi Rock, which looks like a monk standing in jangsam, Hatbawi Rock, which resembles a hat, and Pig Rock, which resembles a pig, and at the top of Inwangsan Mountain, there is a satgat-shaped satgatbawi Rock.

When you reach the top of Inwangsan mountain, you will see Naksan, Namsan, and Baekaksan mountains, which surround Hanyang(Now Seoul) during the Joseon Dynasty, centering on Gyeongbokgung Palace. At the bottom of the summit, Maebawi Rock and Chimabawi Rock in Gyeomjae's Inwangjesaekdo(painting) are spectacular. The scenery of Inwangsan Mountain is beautiful, so there are many landscape paintings set in this background, especially Inwangjesaekdo of Gyeomjae Jeongseon and Inwangsando of Kang Hee-eon are widely known.

Inwangsan Mountain remains the prayer site of Taejo and Muhak Ambassador, and the fortress that built the outskirts of Seoul from Sajik Tunnel to Zaha Gate. The course that many people like to visit is a course that starts with Sajik Tunnel, passes through the site and summit of the fortress, and descends to Buam-dong. It is connected to the road in front of Cheong Wa Dae, so if you can afford it, you can walk to Palpan-ro, Hyoja-ro, and Gyeongbokgung Palace.

On the way down from Inwangsan Mountain toward Muakjae, there is a sky bridge leading to Sinchon's 'Ansan', which was introduced in my previous post. People usually go to Ansan->Inwangsan Mountain or Inwangsan->Ansan Mountain, without climbing only single mountain. It takes about 2 to 2 and a half hours to look around both mountains.

If you have time, go up Inwangsan Mountain. And I recommend a course that crosses the Haneul Bridge, passes through Ansan, and goes to Sinchon through Yonsei University. There are many famous restaurants in Sinchon, so you can have a delicious dinner and nice time. Have a nice and relaxing day everyone. Thanks for reading. :D
