One of the most popular tournaments in Dinajpur is the football tournament involving every upazila and municipality in its district. This tournament is going on again today, the game between Biral Upazila and Parbatipur Upazila. I came out of the library to enjoy the game. The field has been flooded in places due to continuous rain for the past few days. Today, the sky conditions were not good, and towards the end of the game, it started raining heavily. I had to run away from there to escape the rain. The football match ended in a 1-1 draw and Biral Upazila won 4-3 in the trybreaker.
Everyone in Bangladesh loves football and there is no age limit for it. I have seen many old people here who are not interested in other sports but have come from far to watch football. There are 16 teams in this tournament and many teams are hiring good football players from the national team or the national team. On the field of play, there was one of the best commentators of Dinajpur who gives commentary on all the games in Dinajpur. He has been lifted up high for commentary from where he is simultaneously broadcasting live and giving commentary.
