Betterlife - The Diary Game | 06 june 2025 | "Coming to the village home during the Eid holidays and helping with household farming."
Today is the 6th, tomorrow is our holy Eid ul Azha. Today I will go to my village home. I didn't sleep well last night, so I got up early. Last night my parents were a bit arrogant towards me for coming home late. Today I have to go in the morning.
I started packing my bags. I would have to stay home for a while because I had some Chinese nuts in the field to harvest and dry. I packed my bags and put the litchis I had bought for my mother in the bag. I had a light breakfast of boiled eggs and bananas in the morning. I now got ready and left for the bus terminal.
I walked and took an autorickshaw on the road and reached the terminal. Many people were coming to the village in the morning to go home. I bought a ticket and got on the bus, but today the bus left as soon as I got on the bus. The bus was very crowded. Today I tried to sleep on the bus. I couldn't sleep because of the extra passengers and the heat.
I got down at the stop near my house. I have to take an autorickshaw to go home now. I am waiting for CNG and started towards home with CNG. I got on the CNG and called my brother to take me. My house is 2 km from the CNG stop. When my brother arrived, I reached home on his bike.
My father sent me to the market to get meat. The meat market is almost empty. No one is buying meat for Eid tomorrow. I returned home with 1 kg of beef.
Today we will dry the corn in the sun at our house. We spread a net in the yard of our house and let the corn dry on it. This time the price of corn is comparatively low, so our corn has not been sold. We will dry it and feed it to the cows of our own farm.
Tomorrow, Eid, the cow that we have planned to sacrifice on our farm is 2 months pregnant, and after checking with the veterinarian today, I found out. Now we have to buy an animal by today. My father and brother quickly went to the market and bought a bull and cow within 1 hour.
The corn that was left to dry needs to be picked up now. My younger brother and I got to work on this. We filled the corn into sacks and left them on the veranda. There are many more sacks that need to be dried in the sun at 14% moisture to preserve them throughout the year.
My work is over. I took a shower earlier in the evening, I was sweating while working. I went out on the road with my nephew and spent some time wandering around on the road. In the evening, I went to the local market and helped with sales at our shop for some time. I am finishing today, may Allah protect me.
