The Diary Game: Having A Good Day With My School Daughter(20-09-2025)

Hi, I'm Blessing Isong known here on Steemit as @blezisong. I woke up early, I can't remember the last time I woke up early. I started doing my chores and fetching water was the first thing on my mind, I went out to search for water with my school daughter and luckily found water at the first place we went to. We fetched and returned home, I swept and mopped the kitchen while she helped in washing dirty plates and sweeping the compound. I began to prepare breakfast when the kitchen was dry.

The menu for today was rice and stew, this wasn't my choice but since I have a teenager with me I had to prepare what she wants though it wasn't entirely a bad choice. Growing up, I used to eat rice and stew every weekend as that was the meal commonly prepared by my mom for us to make us happy. I cooked the rice first followed by the stew, two heads are better than one and will always be. It was easy for me to get done with the meal quickly because I had an assistant, I took my bath after making the meal before having my breakfast.

In the afternoon, I took my rest after playing ludo game with my girl. It was a tough game as it ended in draw, I felt so exhausted and sleepy and went to bed even when my girl didn't want to sleep but I woke up to use the rest room, I found her sleeping. I slept for some good long hours and woke up craving freshly baked bread and I got dressed and took myself to the bakery close down my street to buy the bread. I liked their new method of operation, handing you a receipt after making purchase.

In the evening, I sat outside discussing till it was past 6pm. And I had pledged to myself not to eat after 6pm because I want to cut down my weight. But I was hungry, what do I do? I went out and bought cucumber and groundnut and ate as much as I wanted till I was satisfied, that was my dinner. My girl told me she won't be a part of my weight loss journey so she ate rice and stew for her dinner, we continued our discussion and went in later to have our bath.

We got into watching short comedy skits online before I took a break to write my diary. Right now, I'm sitting out here while it's raining heavily writing my diary and after now, I may not have a choice than to go to bed because it's becoming very cold. It's nice having you read my diary, I do not take it for granted.
