The Diary Game [02/08/2025] // Funeral Celebration of My In-law.
Steem greeting, guys from the motherland, Cameroon, and welcome to my blog for another session with my lifestyle content. It's been quite a busy week, with me trying to meet up with personal commitments, and life on Steemit has not been completely ignored. It's been almost a month, and we have been making arrangements to give our in-law a befitting burial. We had made all arrangements with the food because we did not want to be stressed trying to wash plates and flasks after the burial.
The mortal remains of our in-laws were to be removed from the mortuary at 7:00 AM, and we thought that as Africans, they would not keep to time. I was surprised that at exactly the time stated on the program was respected. Her mortal remains were taken, and the first stop was at her house. Before we arrived with the corpse at her house, a lot had been done to give her a befitting burial.

Everything was so on point, and they respected time and in less than 45 minutes, the corpse was taken back to the car and driven to church. While at church, the priest was not yet ready to start the funeral service, and the corpse was laid down while waiting for them to start the procession into the church.

While waiting for the priest, it was also an opportunity to greet one or two persons. The insecurity of the town has made it difficult to relate, especially in public spaces. In the process of waiting, one of her son's friends arrived and took over the casket to process within the church. Immediately, the priest came through, and the noble men who were friends to the deceased son had to process with the corpse into the service.

The sermon was brief and straight to the point, since it is the rainy season, and everything was done in haste to avoid rain spoiling the show. Also, people travelled far and near, and it would be nice if everything were done on time so that those who came from afar could travel back safely. The children had to lead a Thanksgiving service in church, thanking God for the gift of life.

After the service in church, the corpse was carried back to her house, where only family members were allowed to go in. It was strictly for family members. The other mourners had to go to the hotel reception reserved for the funeral celebrations. I was already exhausted and could not do anything for the day. Guys, it was a sad day paying our last respect to our in-laws, and we were happy because everything went successfully with no rain disturbing us as on the previous day. Until my next diary session, I wish you all a happy new week ahead.
Oh my! So sorry for the loss of your in law. Where I am presently, in the west region they can go heights to honour the dead. So they always land on time no matter what is on their schedule. Infact,, they go as far as doing a parade in town, thereby blocking the road circulation and halting activities.
When it comes to burials in the west, there's no black man time😂
Meanwhile, which catholic church is that? It looks very familiar.
The west are well known for their cultural display during funerals and even after burial, it’s like a ritual they perform every year.
It was at St Paul Catholic Church in Bamenda.
Ah hahhh I talk am!
The one at mile 4 right. It looks so familiar

El tiempo mejoro no hubo lluvia, que entorpeciera los Servicios fúnebres de su Suegra, espero continúe el buen clima para que se de todo el cronograma del funeral.
