Steem greetings @everyone from the motherland of Cameroon and welcome to my blog for another session of my diary game. Guys, it has been over 2 months of the summer holiday period in my country and this month, is the time for any concerned parent to start preparing for the back-to-school period in September.

I usually hate to rush things, so I like preparing on time. On this day, my husband was around and had to drive to the school, where we were asked to bring the kids for oral and written tests before they could be admitted. When I relocated, my first task was to move around searching for good schools and the requirements for admission.

We left the house early in the morning and I was confident my kids gonna do well in the tests because they are brilliant. I had no doubts and judging from their performance in their former school, one does not need to doubt their brilliance. It was a rainy and cold day as usual but we were lucky my husband was around to drive us to school.

Rainy weather.

Along the way, we noticed a lot of police control checkpoints and we were told that whenever back to school period is approaching, police checkpoints increase along the road for safety measures. We drove to the school and were lucky to meet the head teacher. She was happy seeing us and we handed over to her the kids' report booklets and copies of their birth certificates. They were taken to a classroom where they were tested with both oral and written tests.

We were asked to sit back and wait until the results were given to us. The head teacher was impressed with their performance and gave us the requirements for admission. We were asked to pay the first instalment of their school fees at a microfinance institution. We left the school to the bank to cash out some money to pay the first instalment.

We succeeded in withdrawing the money and went to the microfinance institution where the school asked us to pay the fees. After paying, I had to return to school to show the receipts to the headteacher.

I left the school and went back to the house to prepare lunch. I had to prepare fufu corn and huckleberry. I had everything in the fridge I had prepared the previous day and kept. It took me less than 2 hours to prepare the meal and we all ate together as a family. Until my next diary, it is good night from my end.
