INTRODUCTION

Happy weekend dear friends, it's @destinedhanik again. As a teacher, everyday is a different ball game and yesterday was another fun day especially for the students. Learning isn't all about bring in the classroom with markers abd books, but sometimes, the students are allowed fun and skillful activities as part of learning, so yesterday was one of those days and I'm going to keep you guys up to date.

On Fridays, we usually have sports or other fun activities. I woke up at my usual time which was 5am, I had my bath and took breakfast. I got to school early and signed in. By 7:30, it was time for morning devotion and by 8am, we were done with it. The students were asked to return to their classes and wait till when they the bell ring, that's when they would be leaving for the swimming pool. Every term, different activities are included in the school calendar to make school fun for the students and this term, swimming was included but due to the rain, it was being postponed for a long time and when it was finally the day, one could see the excitement on the faces of the girls. The swimming pool was at the headquarter of the school which was in another local government and while the girls went for swimming, the boys engaged themselves in football competition between the male students and the male teachers.

By noon, the students had finished swimming. While some of the students had to be sent out of the water because they had stayed too long, others were still swimming. We decided to wait for those who didn't finish early and while we waited, we played Scrabble. I decided to play with my student and she won me because she was able to pick the words with the highest total.

We got back to the school by 2pm and the bell was rang for the students to take their lunch before going home. At 3pm, school dismissed and both staff and students went home. When I got home, I was so tired I decided to drink garri and rest a little before cooking.

I woke up by 5pm and my evening activity was making dinner. I cooked rice with ripe plantain which I ate as dinner.

After I had eaten, I decided to relax with a Nollywood movie titled 'Broken Hallelujah '. The movie taught me so much. It was about a couple who truly loved and kept themselves until marriage. After marriage, they decided to stay for a year before having children. Unfortunately, when they were ready to have children, the children were not forth coming until 8 years later. Their faith was tasted and that was how they hit broken hallelujah. I learnt that our hallelujah can be broken but it mustn't be lost totally. I slept after watching the movie.
