Rust never sleeps, never makes noise and you won’t see it coming

Greeting Steemit Family

It has been a while, and I have been battling other challenges in life. Sometimes you have to stay quiet, focus on your goals, and only show up again when you’ve achieved something worth talking about.
Today, I’m back to talk about a silent enemy that lives around us every day, RUST.

Rust, the silent destroyer, is like a sickness for anything made of iron or steel. Leave it exposed long enough, and corrosion will slowly eat away at it. Many people believe that parking their car for weeks or months is an effective way to preserve it. But here is the thing, rust loves a parked car.

Why? Because when the car sits idle, you are giving moisture from rain, dew, and the ground plenty of time to settle in places you can not see. And once moisture settles, rust starts its slow, silent work.

Parts like your car’s exhaust system are the easiest targets because they often are not protected with paint like the outer body. Paint acts as a shield, but exposed metal? That’s Rust’s playground.

It starts small, just a tiny brown spot. But before you know it, that little spot grows, spreading across the surface, weakening the metal, and ruining the look of your car. By the time you see it clearly, the damage is already done.

Just last week, my car’s exhaust system gave in to rust. I had to rush to the garage to get it fixed because the damage had gone too far.

And here’s what I learned:

  • The longer your car sits idle, the more time rust has to attack.
  • Rust never makes noise, you won’t see it coming until it’s too late.

Here is what you can do to keep your car (and any metal property) safe:

  • Move your car regularly. Don’t let it sit in one spot for weeks.
  • Apply protective paint or coatings on metal surfaces where possible.
  • Check hidden areas like under the car once in a while.

Rust never sleeps. But with a little effort, you can stop it before it destroys your property silently.
