The Diary Game Season 3 [ Thursday August 14th, 2025 ] Work from home with football drama of the previous day
Greetings Steemit friends,
Some days can be very hectic, especially when you have to work from home, and the kids have their part to play. When you have a close bond with your toddler, it’s not easy to work at home. This working condition tends to be tiring, and the lack of concentration makes it stressful.
After being out the whole previous day putting things together for the forthcoming school academic year, I needed to catch up with most of my pending tasks with my clients and interns back at the office.
I started the day very early, as I needed to program an online presentation from the office. I finished setting up the Google Meet link, and I was informed there was no electricity back at the office. So, I canceled the meeting to be rescheduled for a later date and time.
I had breakfast, which consisted of puff balls and beans. This is a common breakfast here in my community, usually found only at street-side vendors. When prepared at home, the taste is yummy, and everyone makes sure to have a bite. After breakfast, I went back to my table.
I was working on a news agency web project where they would publish news articles gathered from the local community. The development was done, and the designer had completed their task, so I went through it. The next step was to insert the initial content into the website and see how it looked with seemingly real versions of the articles.
It was all good, so I placed the order for the domain name. I had a brief chat with a potential client, who ended up asking me to be on standby. Since we had not concluded, I decided to watch the sports news. Due to the electricity outage, I was unable to complete the Super Cup match between PSG and Tottenham Hotspur. I started the match and saw Tottenham leading two goals to zero at the end of the first half. It was time to have my lunch, plantain, and beans
I was shocked to see the final score in the morning. PSG had equalized in the dying minutes and won the trophy at the end. While many would think that, as an Arsenal fan, I should be excited over PSG’s win, that wasn’t the case. I actually wanted the London team to take the day. I’m not a fan of teams that hold too much dominance, even though we all understand it’s about the money. I believe other teams should also have the glory and the chance to buy the big names, too.
Soon, the transfer window will close in Europe, and many players will move to certain teams because of their status. Tottenham has now sold its star name, and rebuilding will require another level of status. Watching how Tottenham made the wrong decision to hold back with a defensive style only gave PSG the advantage.
I’ve mentioned over and over, you don’t hold back against a possession team, they will override you. Defense makes more mistakes because of the numbers, as there will be a lot of balls coming in. As you can see from PSG’s equalizing goal, it was all about crosses combined with careless defensive negligence.
I was upset with the style. Penalties, to me, are all about chance, so a miss from the spot is never a problem. I switched off the TV and played one of my favorite games on my laptop before going to bed.
Cheers
