The Diary Game Season 3 [ Tuesday July 08th, 2025 ] A day of two FF (Family and Football)

It’s another day where I find myself working from home. Honestly, it is not always easy to balance remote work with other daily activities.

This morning started early, and I had to drop off my kid sister, who has been staying with us. She was traveling with her toddler, so I had to wake up very early to move the car and make space for them to park their luggage easily.

After that, I went back to bed not to sleep, but to browse through my phone for a bit. Soon, it was time to leave, so I drove my sister to the park where she boarded a transport bus to her destination.

When I returned home, I decided to get into work mode. I began by checking emails, as usual. Most of my tasks involved content updates and sending out notification emails. After completing the first project, one of my interns reached out, asking for guidance on how to host a web application. I set everything up for him and sent instructions, including a link to download FileZilla so he could upload his files.

It was time for breakfast, and my kids and I decided to eat together. It’s something we do regularly. It encourages us to have a good appetite and spend quality time together. After we finished eating, I went back to my laptop to continue working.

By midday, I felt exhausted and decided to take a break and get some rest. I thought it would be a quick nap, maybe 20 or 30 minutes. But I ended up sleeping for two hours. I guess it’s because I went to bed late last night and had to wake up very early this morning. After I woke up, I completed a chat with a potential client, and thankfully, the conversation ended positively.

Later in the evening, I had dinner and prepared to watch the first semi-final match of the FIFA Club World Cup( Fluminense vs Chelsea). The big talking point ahead of the game was the presence of Chelsea legend Thiago Silva, who is now the captain of Fluminense FC.

The game started late in the evening and was slow at the beginning. Both teams looked a bit cautious and seemed to respect each other too much. As the match progressed, Chelsea started building stronger momentum, which led to the first goal, a powerful shot from outside the penalty box. The first half ended with Chelsea leading 1–0.

The second half kicked off with a better tempo from both teams. Chelsea was leading, and Fluminense were doing their best to get back into the game. At one point, Fluminense were awarded a penalty, but it was overruled by VAR, which judged that the Chelsea player’s hand was in a natural position. Another key moment came when Chelsea’s Cucurella cleared the ball off the line to prevent an equalizer.

Fluminense kept pressing, but Chelsea managed to find a second goal. The match ended 2–0 in Chelsea’s favor, booking them a spot in the final. Now they wait to face either PSG or Real Madrid in what promises to be an exciting final.
