The Diarygame (27-08-2025) Celebrating with my cousin on her special day
A vibrant orange sun rose, casting a warm glow over my room. I woke up with a jolt of excitement, a wide grin stretching across my face. Yes was the day - My cousin's traditional marriage, a day I had been eagerly anticipating for weeks. I got out of bed, feeling a surge of joy that made my steps lighterr
I knelt down beside my bed, hands clasped together, and thanked God for the gift of a new day and for the beautiful occasion ahead, (chaii see joy ). I prayed for His guidance, asking for His blessings upon my cousin and her soon-to-be husband. My heart felt full as I rose, ready to begin the day.
I spent the some few hours tidying up my room and completing a few chores in the house, humming a celebratory tune all the while. The floor shone under my touch, and I arranged the furniture with extra care. Everything felt perfect .
After the chores were done, I headed to the bathroom. The cool water felt refreshing, washing away the last bits of sleepiness. I lathered my skin with my favorite soap, and the fragrant steam was wow., imagining the beautiful ceremony. After my bath, I got dressed. I had been saving this special outfit just for this day. It was a beautiful attire made from vibrant Ankara fabric with intricate patterns. ensuring it was just right, and adorned myself with a few pieces of jewelry.
I looked at my reflection in the mirror, a huge smile on my face. I was ready.Check me naw.
I grabbed a quick breakfast of carri and soup, savoring every bite, my mind already at the venue. With my belly full and my heart even fuller, I stepped out of the house,my smile radiating happiness. The journey to the venue was filled with laughter and anticipation. As I approached, I could hear the lively music, and my excitement grew even more.
The venue was a sight to behold. It was decorated with colorful drapes and fresh flowers. The atmosphere was electrifying, filled with the buzz of conversations and the rhythm of traditional music. My cousin, the bride, looked absolutely stunning in her outfit. Her face was glowing with happiness, and her eyes sparkled with joy.
The groom, my cousin's beloved, looked equally happy and proud. The love between them was so palpable it wa s almost tangible.
I danced and celebrated with everyone, my feet moving to the beat of the talking drum. My cousin showed off her well-rehearsed dance steps, and I cheered her on, so proud to be a part of her special day. I greeted family and friends, exchanging pleasantries and laughter. I felt so happy for my cousin, witnessing her begin this new chapter of her life with the man she loved.
As the sun began to set, the ceremony drew to a close. At 6:26 pm,the last blessing was given, and the couple was officially joined as husband and wife. I felt a pang of sadness that the day was over - hahaha, but it was quickly replaced by a sense of satisfaction. I said my goodbyes and headed home, my heart filled with beautiful memories.
Back at my place, I was exhausted but happy. I freshened up and settled on the with a bottle of juice and achin-chin.
the exhaustion took over, and I drifted off to sleep, a smile still on my face.
