CREATIVE WRITING | THE SHADOW OF DEATH
Most people always think that the mighty fall just at once!
Most people also think and believe that the valley of the shadow of death is a location.
Well as good as that is, it isn't just a location but a whole economy.
This valley isn't just a concept
It is not just a myth. But a well organized and orchestrated cascade of events pointing towards your downfall.
I'm about to show you how darkness orchestrates the fall of the mighty.
Mighty men are not only men of battle and skill,
But they're believers who have received a mighty inheritance.
A salvation that wasn't gotten by water, but by blood.
2Sam.1.27 - "How the mighty have fallen, And the weapons of war perished!"
The way they occasion the fall of the mighty is that they study and try to know the things that catch your desire.
Once they know your desire, they can tailor make the weapon for your destruction.
The moment they trap your interest and they catch your attention,
The economy of darkness begins to cast
A shadow of death upon you.
You begin to be ruled by another economy, by another government. At this point it is the prince of the power of the air that os deployed on your case.
Because you're not more under the shadow of the Almighty but under the atmosphere of the children of disobedience.
Before you know it,
Just as a branch cut off from the vine, you start getting dried.
Part of the first things that will be cut off
Is your access to headquarters, so your prayer life will die.
Your senses and discernment will begin to become faint.
You will realize that gradually,
It is only when we gather congregationally
That you can pray.
You don’t know yet that you are dying.
You are trapped in the valley.
Even the prayer we pray isn't because of a beckoning anymore,
It's because we heard people pray.
It's because we were instructed to pray.
There is nothing in us anymore that has that healthiness to reach out to headquarters anymore.
We have been cut off.
Instead of God working in us both to will and to do according to His good pleasure,
It is death that started working in us according to it's pleasure.
Before you know it,
The moment the powerhouse has been shut down, affections in the flesh will start coming alive.
The very things you dreaded to once become you became. The lady you never tried to approach now you can talk to her and desire intimacy with her.
Suddenly, envy and bitterness and every other work of the flesh like jealousy and lust start coming from the heart.
Just as a proof that they have cut something off.
It is only a sign
Of the entity that has antagonized you in the valley.
The whole world, the Bible says,
Has been wielded to the evil one and therefore lies in wickedness.
It is a domain, a realm, a dispensation that is immersed in corruption.
How can you walk blameless before the Lord in a realm soaked in corruption, and ruled by darkness?
It is the valley of the shadow of death.
The only cure to this valley is Intimacy with God.
Remember in Psalms 23, the bible says,
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil. Because You are with me.
Intimacy is God being with you ALWAYS.
STAY WITH GOD WHETHER IN SEASON OR OUT OF SEASON.
