The Diary Game: Attended Acapella Service of Praise in the Church (10/8/2025)
Hello great guys!
Happy Sunday from the southern part of Nigeria to you. How was your service over there? Did you go to worship God Almighty? Hope you had a great time in his presence. Mine was super. We had an Acapella Service of Praise in my church. I was the one that anchored it with a guest musician in attendance. Stay with me let me tell you how my Sunday went.
This day was fixed about a month ago. It was a day to sing praise to God for His blessings and provisions. As the one in charge of the church at Uyo congregation, I had planned on how the day will look like. It was going to be praises all through.
By that morning of Sunday, I woke up quickly to get prepared. After my usual morning devotion to thank my creator for my life, I set out to prepare, very quickly, a little breakfast that I would eat. The service was billed to start by 8am. I had invited guests, so I had to be in the church before 8am.
After sweeping and mopping kitchen, I went to the bathroom and had a bath. I came out to eat breakfast and then dressed up for the service. I left home by 7am. But I was delayed on the road because I couldn't see a taxi cap going to the direction of my church. Many other people were also waiting for a town drop by the road side. So unfortunate that I waited for almost 30 minutes and couldn't see a bus to board. This was complicated by the drizzling of the rain. I became worried thinking many people must have arrived the church waiting for me.
Finally, I got a taxi going to my direction. I arrived the church by 8.35am. Despite this delayed, many persons didn't arrive as I thought. I saw only few members. After waiting for twenty minutes, a lot of people started coming. The service commenced officially.
After an opening prayers, I introduced the guest minister, who is also a musician to take charge of leading in singing. Minister Iniobong Samuel thrilled the congregation with praises. It was a forty minutes non stop praises.
Although he was the only invited guest minister who responded, out of the three of them that I invited, he brought life into the cold weather, making members felt the power of God.

After the expiration of his time, I took over. I took the congregation into a worship session for thirty minutes. From start to finish of the service, it was praise and worship all through. I got tired and had to relax a bit.

The service came to an end by 1.30pm instead of the scheduled 11am. God was in charge. After service, a member agreed to take the guest minister home for entertainment. I went with him. It was a nice experience. I came back home by 4pm.
When I got home, I had to relaxed because I was tired. I stood for about 2 hours leading in the church. By 5pm, I went to a viewing centre to watch Premier League Community Shield Cup final between Liverpool and Crystal Palace. The ball ended in a penalty shoot out, where Crystal Palace took the trophy.
I came back home by 7.30pm. At this time, I was hungry. I had a left over soup I cooked on Saturday. So I prepared garri and then ate. After this, I relaxed with steemit. I had to write my entry for the contest I will post the next day. I felt asleep by 9pm.
That was what happened on Sunday. I had a nice time in the church and at viewing centre. My Sunday was fruitful.
Thank you for reading my post. God bless you. Have a nice time
