The Diary Game : Celebrating with the Church Secretary on Sunday (16/6/2025)

Hello dear friends! It's me your favorite friend, @okokon. It has been a while I haven't posted here. How are you doing and your family? I guess you're doing great. I'm great too. Last sunday in my church will remain memorable. The secretary of the church, brother Ikobong Akpan was celebrated . I was there. Let me inform you of how my Sunday looked like.

Early on Sunday of that day, I woke up by 5am. After prayers to thank God for his benevolence, I started my day. Since my wife had traveled, I set straight to do few house chores before I went to the kitchen to prepare a breakfast. By 7am, I was through. I dressed up and then left for church.

I was not going to be the one to anchor the event. I had informed my assistant pastor to take charge of the event after service. When I reached the church by 7.30am, no one was there except one sister who came from a far distance. I had to meet with my assistant so I could prepare a program for him. He arrived not long.

Immediately i showed him what to do, the normal service started. I was the one who anchored the normal morning service. I ordered different people to handle different items of the service. It was a great one as I guided them through different aspects of the worship service. Visitors who were invited by the celebrant started coming one after the other.

After the morning service which ended by 12noon, my assistant, bro. Othuekong Udoh took over the second phase. It was the celebration proper. He was in charge till the end.

Bro. Otuekong first invited the celebrant to come out with his best friend and sit in front of the church so everyone could see them.

Ikobong is a very humble, kind, social and God-fearing person. Recently, he comes to thank God for what God has done in his life. Most especially for getting employment opportunity in the civil service. Prayers were offered to thank God on his behalf. It was a great opportunity to share in his thanksgiving.

The celebration came to an end by 3pm. I was so excited that God has put a smile on the face of someone. My afternoon engagement took place in the church.

I came back home by 4pm. I had to rest for some time before I took lunch . By 5.30pm, I went to attend a family meeting at my elder brother's residence. It was a meeting to discuss family issues. The meeting lasted for two hours. I returned home by 8pm. I was tired and had to sleep outrightly.
