The Diary Game: Buying New Set Of Couches For My New Apartment (18/09/2025)

I went out today this morning very early to go and buy couch for my new apartment settings. I have been planning to relocate from here. So when I went, I saw these black strong couch and the price tag was very fair though as a typical Nigerian man like me, I still had to bargain small so that I will feel comfortable buying it. I paid for it and then took it to the new apartment I rented.

When we came down here, I pleaded with the driver to help me so that we can bring down the couches down, when we brought them down, I added small money for him as a tip and also beckoned on him to also help me pack the items inside and he did. Here are the beautiful couch ready to be set up. I can't wait for this apartment to come to a full set up and then again, I just want to have a very comfortable zone where myself, my wife and my kids will feel safe to be.

Why I am packing out of the former building is that the street is undergoing construction and very soon the house might be pulled down. Some Landlord's were so considerate enough to give their tenants money to go and rent another apartment just like my landlord did and I salute him for that, because not everyone would want to do such.

When I went out so I can get to work because I spent over #285,000 naira which is valued at 1425 steem just buying the couches and I have not included the logistics and all so I needed to work more so that I can have money and buy for new window blinds because I wouldn't want to pack out with these old ones as they have gone out of fashion.

When I stepped out, I saw the bulldozer pulling down houses and doing other things, I am just grateful because at most, before this month ending I should be packing out of this house before they demolish the building I am staying. Though I will be missing this old place, the environment was just friendly and the people around here are homely as well.

When I got to work, I made sure I washed all the clothes, it was a bet I placed on myself to wash the clothes, I mean all the dirty clothes before my son school dismiss and I was able to accomplish that 20 minutes before his school dismiss.

When his school dismiss, I went to his school and picked him up then we went back to my workshop together. I then bought him rice so that he can eat for his lunch and wait for me to finish what I was doing.

When he finished eating, I allowed him go out and play with other kids while I ironed the clothes that were dry and for some that did not dry, I turned them over so that the sun could touch them as well.

After working for the day, I called my son from sleep because he had come to the shop and had his nap. Then when he woke up, I carried him then lock the workshop and we went back home. The reason I decided to close by 7pm is that I needed to be home and cook so that my wifey can come back from work and eat.

When I got back, I roasted the chicken laps she cooked yesterday and then when my wife came back, I gave her the laps and ate the the ribs region. My son doesn't eat much of chicken but loves eating beef so I cut a little and gave it to him.

When everyone had eaten, I fetched water so that we can use, our pump has been faulty these days and the landlord isn't doing anything about it because he doesn't want to loose money as the demolition will soon get to his building, so now we fetch water outside to do whatever we want to do. After that, I will pause and say goodnight my friends.
