Highlights of Day 2 – Nigerian Edutainment Festival

Hello SteemCameroon Family!

I hope everyone is having an amazing Sunday! Yesterday was nothing short of incredible as I experienced Day 2 of the Nigerian Edutainment Festival, and trust me, it was one for the books!

I left the hostel around 8:01 a.m. without eating breakfast because I didn’t want to feel tired during the mountain climb and other activities. Luckily, I was saved by the Kellogg’s stand, where they served cups of cornflakes. That was the perfect energy boost I needed to start the day! 😅 In fact, I shamelessly went back a few times for refills whenever hunger kicked in. There was also Munch It, that cheesy snack we all love, and health officials from Power Oil Company who offered free BP, sugar, and blood level checks, I am fit and don't have any deficiency.

The highlight of the morning for me was the mountain climbing. I gave it my all and proudly ranked number 20 to reach the top! The view from up there was magical and refreshing, something I will never forget.

I even got my face painted afterward, which made the day feel even more vibrant and fun.

At the Tecno stand, there was a lively dancing competition. I didn’t dance but enjoyed cheering for the talented participants. Meanwhile, the main stage was buzzing with energy, featuring musicians, rappers, spoken word artists, and comedians, each showing off their amazing talents.

The event had a touch of class with helicopter rides, as the special guest, popularly known as "Sarkin Moto", was flown into the venue. This man is a big name in Nigeria’s auto industry and a social media sensation, and his presence took the excitement up a notch!

The car drifting displays kept everyone on their feet, shouting and cheering—it felt like we were at a live-action movie!

One thing that almost ruined the vibe was an activity where everyone was asked to hold hands and say a short prayer together. Sadly, a group of Muslim girls refused to join, saying they couldn’t hold hands with non-Muslims. Honestly, this was disappointing. Such actions don’t reflect learning, maturity, or unity. I hope they and anyone with such a mindset understand that peace and togetherness go beyond religion or ethnicity. We must learn to see each other as one family if we want progress and harmony in our society.

The event was fully packed, interesting, and filled with fun moments like giveaways, music, laughter, and amazing performances.

I had such a blast that I didn’t even realize how tired I was until I got back to the hostel.

As I wrap up, I want to wish everyone in this community an amazing and productive week ahead! I’ll keep you all updated on my next adventures.
