My Day

Hello there.

It's been an amazing time out there in my hometown. As I get to connect with family members and friends whom I have miss for so much a long time. However, it was so sad leaving as the environment was so special and welcoming. I enjoyed every bit of a day spent there.

On Tuesday evening, I decide It was time to go home, of which I packed my belongings. Making sure everything is set and ready to go. During the day, I had to pass by the hospital again and do some final checkup on my tooth which I have consulted several times and equally made some diary post about it.

However, the doctors recommended a different medicine which I bought this time. And the rendezvous again in 2 weeks, if in case I develop any side pains within this time frame. As of now, my mouth feels normal And hopefully I don't have to go back in 2 weeks as I have a lot to do catching up here.

At 4:50 p.m., I arrive at the bus station where the Buses were already loading. On. My receipt, take off is stated At 4:30 p.m. however, I arrive at the park a little bit late than this is because it was raining and I couldn't leave under the rain as I was carrying stuff which do not need water to touch them.

Immediately I arrived, the bus was about leaving, this did not give me any time to even take a picture outside before leaving. I just decided to take a few shots inside the vehicle while waiting. I was so thirsty I had to send someone to get me water equally as I might go far and return when the bus have left already.

Finally, by 5:00 p.m., the bus have loaded completely and every passenger has arrived. This was the time we took her from the park and off road. It was a smooth journey leaving town and I feel a little bit bad as I have not catch up with everyone I was supposed to catch up with. However, duty calls And I have to be back home to resolve them.

Passing several towns, The journey continue to be smooth until we have to stop at the Tall gate. Here, one of the road vendors enter the bus and started pitching his products. He cracked jokes alongside pitching and we laughed along the way while moving.

2 hours have passed and we were in a town called Mbouda. Which is a small town located in the west region of Cameroon with a lot of historical background and heritage strictly related to the Bamiliké people of Cameroon. The road vendor decide to drop at this point so the boss had to stop and let him out.

We continued our journey along the way passing Baffousam In the next hour and equally traversing other localities along the way. Such as Banjun, batie, bacha and finally bafang Which is the last West town before we could exit the West region. This took roughly 3 hours or so totaling a distance covered off around 300 km so far in a time frame of 5 hours.

Finally, we have crossed all of Bafang and now entering into the Littoral region. So far the journey is going still good and the vehicle has had no complaint so far. We continued with our ride until we arrived at a location called manjo. This is a bus stop, where passengers are free to go out and ease themselves, and equally catch up by buying some stuff.

At the bus stop

As you can see, other buses Are equally parked and letting everyone catch up. The driver gave us 10 minutes to relax and buy whatever we wanted to buy And be back in the bus for the journey to continue. I decided to have some chicken and equally bought some bobolo which I will be taking back home to share with my neighbors.

Immediately I succeeded to buy, I didn't want to eat immediately so I took it to the bus and stay back out to have some fresh air. The environment was really cold, moist and good for relaxing. As you can see in the image below, passengers are equally having some good time out here.

Passengers relaxing

After a while, all passengers were back in the bus. The driver then speak on the mic asking if there is anybody is left outside. Fortunately everyone has entered the bus so we continue on our journey. Passing several other towns, It was really amazing until at some point passengers started leaving simply because they have to drop along the way and not go right to the park.

This took us some minutes as they have to go out and offloading their for their belongings. However, not so many persons did same as majority of the population was going to arrive the park. Getting around 2:30 a.m. In the morning, we were inching closer to the central town of Douala.

In the next 1 hour, we have crossed several other localities and finally at the bus station. As everyone went outside to check on their belongings While they are being offloaded. I didn't carry much on me. Just traveling back and a little sag containing the stuff I am going to share with my neighbors.

It was very difficult to have a bike here as it this late in the night and no one was ready to take us on a normal fair. They charge 2 to 3 times as the normal Fair when it is daylight. Finally I met someone whom was going in the same direction as me. In that aspect, we decide to join and take one bike. Here they accepted with a much cheaper fee as they were carrying two of us.

By 4:30 a.m., I was finally in the house. The entrance to my door looks so dirty as I have been out for almost 3 weeks. Due to the heavy downpour there has been serious dirt washed up from the top floor right to my place. Exhausted and tired. I had nothing to do at the point, I just stepped inside and unpack my bag before finally resting.

Finally at home

Behold, it was an interesting journey and I didn't have no complaints. The ride was so smooth and everything went on as successful as I have mentioned. We thank God for traveling Mercies and equally For taking me back home safe and sound.

We will continue other editions of the diary game guys, but as for this one we have come to the end. It is such an interesting diary to share with you and I believe you would enjoy reading along with me on my little trip back home. Thank you. God bless you!
