The diary game: Creative writing on "THE RAINY JULY / AUGUST 2025

So about my writing: The Rainy July / August
Rainy season is a period of rainfall or humidity with less or low sunshine. In my region, Uyo, Akwa Abasi Ibom state in Nigeria. We have been experiencing series of rainfall since July through August. I have never seen a time like this with much rainfall in chain. That people are having difficulty in going to their place of work, business places, schools , market and churches.
Even the holiday lessons going on, my kids were supposed to have registered since morning but I couldn't walk down the marshy and swampy road where I live, until Wednesday 6-08-2025, where I managed to go and register one person then today Thursday, 7-08-2025. I went and registered 2 of them when the weather was a bit cleared.

If not I'm working in a school and we are observing our long holidays now, I don't know what would have happened to me and other teachers, because I recall lately during examination period, how we were swimming in and out of rain, even while in school, the classroom will be so humid that I will be folding myself up like a centipede that has seen a predator. And the students will be shivering especially if they weren't with their pull over clothes.

At this season, you experience plenty urination, because as the water intake to the body is not excreted by the sweat glands as the weather is cold enough to keep people from being dehydrated. So all the water is being filtered to the urinary bladder.

Ohhhh ,see me and plenty dirty, and clean wet clothes on the hanger, on chairs. Spreading clothes everywhere and corners of the house. It was so much of a concern that I told hubby we should look for a way out, maybe airing it under the fan at night, blow drying them or whatever but something should be done about it.

We opted for spinning the clothes in the washing machine for a longer duration which is about 6 minutes and more, the clothes were so dry that we can just wear it to any outing but it should be ironed. The spinning is with enough squeezing of water out of the clothes.

Because of this weather, so many children, adult are sick from flu and it's money consuming. Imagine me visiting hospital, I saw various set of human, many people were hospitalized. While some were discharged, some were coming in. The ward I entered, two persons that were discharged were replaced immediately with new patients pulling in to their space.
The weather is indeed not fair ooo.
Even in the market I went to, every where was flooded with mud. The weather is not really good for me oooo, I don't know about you. If it's ok by you, just let me know in the comments section.

That's the experience,I have been able to record in the few days of this rain in and rain out.
