The diarygame: DAY 2 OF LIFE ND PROJECT TRAINING

THE DAY 2 OF THE LIFE ND PROJECT TRAINING WAS ON TUESDAY

MORNING:

I will talk about how my day went first before I left for the training. So as usual, I woke very early in the morning and prepare the kids for holiday lessons and put some clothes in the washing machine while doing other chores . So after that I had a soaked grains of corn, guinea and yellow with millets. I had to go and grind it that morning though it was stressful doing that but I succeeded.

At the mill, I met other people who has been waiting for hours according to them, since mine was soaked and they have about 5 machines , there were only 2 persons before me. I left there around 9:50am .

On returning,my baby was awake already so I made him breakfast, bathe him before I dropped him off and left for the training.
On this day, I had a little delay in boarding a vehicle because of the cost of transportation. I stopped more than four (4) vehicles before the last one finally with human sympathy agreed to my price and picked to the junction where I do highlight and do my trekking inside the village of the farm.

On reaching the farm, the incubator was not there ,but he came shortly after and told us that he was behind us but didn't want to bother us. While we were there outside waiting for the key of the farm house to be brought, we went round the farm sighting the ponds in the farm.
Then we decided to talk about the different ponds we saw , which led us to the topic :

IMG_20250812_115953_320.jpgwhile going round, there was a millipede

We saw a big millipede that was about 20cm in length, it was so big and scary.
They are the giants millipede.
In the animal kingdom,we have the vertebrae and invertbrae.
Millipede is classified into invertebrates because they don't have backbone. They are in the class of arthropods .
Because of it's abundance in the farm, I had to read about it if there's any dangerous part of of it. But no it's harmful. It's not poisonous to humans but they can secretly secrete fluids that can cause irritation or allergies to individuals.

THE POND

The pond according to the lecturer is a fresh water body where fishes are being kept for rearing. He further mentioned that there are two (2) types of pond.
  1. The earthen pond

  2. The tanks

The earthen pond is the one that is dug up in the soil. The soil surface must be clayey, that is should be able to retain water not the type that is Sandy soil that will be aerated and make water porous .
The earthen pond can use lining material to cover the edges preventing soil from falling into the pond. The pond should have a shape.
The best shape for a pond is either square shape or rectangle shape.

The tanks are futhered classified into 2

A. Superficial tank.

B. Submerged tank

I was made to understand that superficial comes above the soil surface while submerged tank is using underground surfaces.
The lesson was so educating.
After that, we went round the farm according to our instructor, he asked us to check and identify the different types ponds which we did and I noticed it was all tanks that was used in the place maybe based on the mason that constructed it.

Another thing I learnt was , you need to get an expert to do the construction site no matter the cost. Anything worth doing well should be done at the right time without looking back.
So after the class we were asked to prepare 5 five hatchery for stocking. But we were already stressed and plead to wash the next day and our incubator accepted us to wash it the next day.
We closed for the day and dispatched to our different destination.

AT HOME

Back in the house, I got to the kitchen to prepare meal where I noticed my cylinder has been licking and it has finished. Thank God my husband was around, we resorted to use the charcoal stove and made the meal. There is a difficult part of the charcoal stove, lighting it is that part that makes the work difficult so I called hubby to help me out. He is a genius in lighting the stove and he did it gladly.

I prepared the meal and we ate. At about 5:00pm, myself and hubby decided to go and fill the gas at the gas station.
While there I received a good news call which made my day, the call drove all the stress out of my body. So we went and got the surprise gift. It was wow!
Back home , I had to filter the grains I grinded . It really took my time but I was done at the end.

I went over to use the washing machine again in the night, I washed and spinned some clothes which will be dried the next day as I noticed there's August break lately.

Then I went to bed where I did my writing to be posted but the tiredness made me dose off. Finally the write-up was posted .

THANK YOU FOR HAVING MY TIME!!
