The Diary Game: 06-06-2025 || A Fruitful Farm Day ||
Friday 6th June 2025, I woke up early, feeling better and ready to tackle the day. As it was the first Friday of the month, the Akwa Ibom State governor's declaration of a farm day holiday for civil servants had given me the perfect opportunity to focus on my agricultural pursuits. I had been planning to buy some palm fruits for processing, and Friday was the perfect day.
After brushing my teeth in the bathroom and taking my bath, I sat down to enjoy the delicious breakfast prepared by my wife. The meal gave me the energy boost I needed for the long journey ahead. I left the house at 8:00 AM , determined to make the most of the holiday .
My mission was to purchase 100 pieces of palm fruit, but I succeeded 120 pieces, and I knew just the place to get them – Eket, a town known for its abundant palm produce. The journey wasn't going to be easy, but I was undeterred. As I traveled from Uyo to Eket, the rain began to pour down heavily, making the roads slippery and treacherous. However, I persevered, knowing that my efforts would pay off in the end.
After what seemed like an eternity, I finally arrived in Eket and found the vendor with the palm fruits I needed. I negotiated the price, made the purchase, and loaded the fruits onto my vehicle I hire.
I moved them to the mill for processing
As I arrived at the mill, the workers were ready to process the palm fruits for me.
I dropped them off and arranged for the processing to begin.
With that task taken care of, I began my journey back to Uyo. The exhaustion was starting to set in, but I pushed on, knowing that I had accomplished my goal for the day.
I finally arrived home at 6:47 PM, feeling drained but satisfied. After freshening up, I sat down to enjoy a warm dinner. The fatigue caught up with me soon after, and I sleep off , feeling content and fulfilled.
That was how I make use of my holiday. Thanks so much for reading through my post.
