Steemblocks: The UI updates and optimization using WebSocket

Hi there! Steemblocks was our very first dapp since the beginning of our witness journey back in 2023. A few days ago, we made a huge change in the entire UI update and internal optimisation.

Steemblocks v5 is a modern, feature-rich blockchain explorer and analytics platform designed for the Steem blockchain. This new version introduces a complete redesign of the interface, improved performance, and several new modules that make tracking blockchain activity more powerful and intuitive than ever.

Built with the latest React 18 framework and live broadcasting websocket bridge, Steemblocks v5 offers a smoother, faster, and more responsive user experience. The app now features a refreshed dark theme, enhanced responsive layout for desktop and mobile, and real-time data streaming through WebSocket integration. The new home dashboard provides a live overview of Steem blocks, price data, and quick navigation to major sections.

One of the most significant improvements in v5 is the Advanced Search System, allowing users to intelligently detect and search blocks, transactions, and accounts from a single input field. The Cryptocurrency Market section has also been upgraded to support thousands of coins, including @puss.coin, pulling live data directly from the CoinGecko API, including market cap, trading volume, and price trends with detailed charts.

The Witness Monitoring system is under construction. We will add details systematically, which will display real-time performance analytics, voting data, and missed block tracking. Account Analytics has been expanded with detailed user insights.

From a technical standpoint, Steemblocks v5 introduces major performance optimisations, including intelligent caching, code-splitting, and lazy loading, resulting in faster page loads and improved scalability. It also includes offline support and a PWA setup, allowing users to install the app directly on their devices.

Security has been strengthened with improved input validation, HTTPS-only data handling, and XSS protection, ensuring safe browsing and interaction. The new version supports Docker deployment, environment configuration, and modular component design for easier maintenance and contribution.

Overall, Steemblocks v5 represents a major step forward for the Steem ecosystem, combining blockchain transparency, market intelligence, and modern UI performance into one unified platform.
