This wonderful contest is always for me a great content to show you something more about my everyday life, the small things that make it happy and fulfilling. This way, I get to express myself, keep in touch with other, and share something unique from my day with a personal take.

“A Picture That Holds a Thousand Emotions”

September 27th will always be special to me – it was the day of our anniversary. I was looking forward to the day as per usual, but not anticipating anything special. I had a typical day passing and by the time evening came I was up to my normal housework. All of a sudden, my husband comes home with this grin on his face that says I’ve got something to hide. Before I could say anything he pulled out a very nicely decorated cake that said “Happy Anniversary”.

I was genuinely shocked for a second. It wasn’t just the cake; it was the thought, the time and all of her love. He had kept it in whispers, he wanted to make me feel special, and he did. The candle burned brightly, the flower smelled sweet and weighed soft in so small a vessel--all combined into an atmosphere of rejoicing.

I took this picture because it wasn’t just about the cake on the table, but what that love symbolized. The candlelight seemed to symbolize our connection soft, unwavering and only intensifying with time. Not a single thing was missing in the picture, the flowers; the decoration all said that there could not be a happier moment than this.

This is became my Picture of the Day because it says all about love and company, an unexpected joy which turns a normal day into a special moment.
