Greetings friends, and how are you today? I believe you are all fine as I am. I am happy to be a participant In this week's contest, as organised by @dequeen. I do believe that you will all be in love with this pencil drawing.

✅ Explain what you draw in your own words.

What I drew today is a young girl smiling with her head resting between her two hands. She put on a short-sleeved shirt and a scarf on her head. She tied the scarf on her head leaving part of her weaved hair resting on her cheek.

Materials for the drawing

• Plain A4 paper
• Pencils
• Eraser
• Sharpener
• Cotton wool

Step 1
I wrote my name and date on the paper

Step 2
I drew the eyes of the young girl, beginning with the left eye, then the right eye. I also coloured the black eyelids.

Step 3
I drew the nose and mouth of the young girl, and I also shaded her lips.

Step 5
I drew the head tie and the left hand of the girl.

Step 6
I drew the second hand and I also drew the tip of her hair.

Step 7
I shaded the scarf on the girl's head. I also drew and shaded the hair on her head which she plaited beautifully. Lastly, I shaded the forehead and nose

Step 8
I drew the lower jaw of the girl and shaded the mouth once again. I also shaded the area between the mouth and the nose.

Step 9
I drew the eyebrow of the young girl and shaded the area around the left eye.

Step 10
I shaded the area around the right eye. I also added shading on the scarf of the girl and lastly, I shaded the point of contact between the scarf and the head.

Step 11
I completed the hands of the young girl and I shaded the left hand.

Step 12
I shaded the second hand and completed the drawing of the shirt. I also drew two buttons on the shirt, and finally, I shaded the shirt lightly.

✅ How long did it take to complete your drawing, and how do you feel about it?
This drawing took me two hours and five minutes to complete. And like any other person, I was happy when I finished the drawing

I love drawing generally, and anywhere I see images, I consider drawing them. Therefore, when I came in contact with this image, I decided to draw it for this beautiful contest.
