Greetings friends! How are you today? I believe you are all fine as I am. It is nice to connect with you today through the Steem Fashion & Style Community. I appreciate @dequeen for organising this contest. Below is my drawing to prove myself as the best artist for the week.

✅ Explain what you draw in your own words.

What I drew today is a young girl passing or coming out through the window. She doesn't have shoes on her legs and she put on a gown.

Materials for the drawing are

• Plain A4 paper
• Pencils
• Eraser
• Sharpener
• Ruler
• Brown pencil colour

Step 1
I first drew the drawing space using a ruler and pencil. I also wrote my name and date on it. I then drew the head of the young girl which I started by
drawing the forehead the cheek and the lower jaw. I then shaded a few hairs on her head. I also drew her eyes, nose, and mouth.

Step 2
I shaded her eyebrows, the black eyelids, the nose and the lips of the young girl.

Step 3
I drew the hands of the girl, which I began with her right hand, followed by the left hand. I ended by drawing the back and the chest of the girl.

Step 4
I drew her legs. The first leg was the one she used to lift herself up without shoes, and she uses the second leg to support, using her knees.

Step 5
I sketched the shape of the window that the girl is trying to pass through. I also shaded the background of the drawing black using a 10B pencil.

Step 6
I shaded the walls of the window using a brown colour and I also drew the block building pattern on the walls of the window.

Step 7
I shaded the shirt of the young girl black, which is lighter than the background. I also showed how the gown folded because of her posture.

Step 8
I lightly shaded the skin of the young girl using a pencil. I also shaded her face which brought me to the end of the drawing.

✅ How long did it take to complete your drawing, and how do you feel about it?

The drawing took me about two hours to have it complete from the beginning to the end. I felt excited at the end of the drawing because my goal was achieved.

Here is my selfie.

I saw the picture of this young girl passing through a broken wall. I picked up an interest in it, and so I decided to draw it. But then, I changed the broken wall to a window and shaded it brown.
