Greetings friends! I hope you are all fine as I am. I am glad to be here today with my entry on this contest titled "📢 Contest || Unlock Your Creativity || Week - 17". I appreciate @zisha-hafiz for organising this contest. This week I drew a kerosene Lamp.

What is a Kerosene Lamp
A kerosene lamp is a portable source of light that uses kerosene. It is made of metal with a small tank under it to hold the kerosene. It has wick which hold the flame with an adjustable knob. It also has a glass which protects the light from wind or air. The lamp can be lit up with matches or a lighter.

Materials for the drawing

• Plain A4 paper
• Pencil
• Colours
• Eraser
• Sharpener

Step 1
I drew the ventilator cap. This is the top part of the lamp which has small openings and also helps in holding the glass chimney.

Step 2
Here, I drew the frame of the lamp. I also drew the tiny irons that hold the glass chimney. Finally, at this step, I drew the lever holder and the handle.

Step 3
I drew the kerosene tank which has a small opening with screw cap for refiling with kerosene.

Step 4
Here, I began colouring the drawing. I started with the kerosene tank. I used a blue colour to paint the lamp and a brown colour to show the area that is stained due to water leakage or a drop.

Step 5
I painted the frame and the ventilator cap. I also painted the lever holder.

Step 6
I coloured the handle and the irons that hold the glass chimney.

Step 7
I light a fire on the wick of the lamp using a yellow colour. I then colored the entire glass chimney with an orange colour.
