"Prove yourself as the best artist for the week".

Greetings friends, how are you today? I believe you are all fine as I am. I salute @dequeen for sustaining this beautiful contest titled "Prove yourself as the best artist for the week". Below is my entry for the week

✅ Explain what you draw in your own words.

In this week's contest, I drew a beautiful lady seated with her long hair, putting on a flowering shirt with a short skirt. She also put on a wrist watch and was trying to adjust the strap of her high-heeled shoes.

Materials for the drawing

• Plain embossed paper
• Pencils
• Black pen
• Eraser
• Eraser
• Cotton wool

Step 1
I began by drawing my username and date on the paper and after that, I sketched the hair on the lady's head. I also drew one of her hands and her back from the shoulder down to the waist.

Step 2
I drew the waistband of her skirt and then drew the skirt. I also adjusted the hair on her head.

Step 3
I drew one of her legs and the high-heeled shoe in that leg. I also completed the hand-drawn in step 2 by extending it to the strap of her shoes.

Step 4
I drew the second leg of the lady and also drew the shoe in that leg.

Step 5
I drew the chair on which the lady is sitting. I also drew the wristwatch in her hands and shaded the hair on her head.

Step 6
I gently trace the entire drawing with a black pen and then erase the pencil line with my eraser and this makes the drawing clearer.

Step 7
I drew flowers on the shirt of the lady using a black pen and shaded the remaining part of the shirt using a 6B pencil and blended it with cotton wool.

Step 8
I shaded the skirt of the lady with a 6B and a 10B pencil. I also shaded the waistband with a black pen.

Step 9
I shaded the shoes with a black pen and also shaded the wristwatch in her hands.

Step 10
I shaded the chair that is seated on using a 10B pencil and lightly shaded her legs.

Step 11
I shaded the hair on the lady's head using a black pen, a 10B pencil and a 6B pencil. Finally, I shaded her legs more and blended it with cotton wool.

✅ How long did it take to complete your drawing, and how do you feel about it?

This drawing looks simple but it took me about two hours and thirty minutes to complete it. I made a lot of adjustments in almost all the stems to enable me to have a proportional balance. I am excited at the end of the drawing.
