"Prove yourself as the best artist for the week".

Greetings dear friends. How are you today I believe you are all fine as I am. I am glad to be in this week's contest, "Prove yourself as the best artist for the week" and I believe that all members of the Steemit community will be in love with my drawing. Stay tuned.

✅ Explain what you draw in your own words.

What I drew today is a beautiful indian lady dressed in her cultural attire called Lashkaraa. She stands, adjusting her hair, which she has packed with a ribbon. She also put on some hand bango bangle.

Materials for the drawing

• Plain embossed paper
• Pencils
• Eraser
• Black pen
• Cotton wool
• Cutter

Step 1
I began my drawing by first writing my name and date on the drawing space. I then sketched the head of the lady which I began from the forehead, down to the nose, mouth and the lower jaw. I then skerched her eye, eyebrow and finally her ear.

Step 2
I sketched her right hand, the neck and part of her body

Step 3
I drew the second hand, which she raised up to dress her hair, and on the hand, I drew the hand bangle. I also drew the veil she hung on her shoulder.

**Step 4
I completed the sketching by drawing her waist and her wrapper which she tied

**Step 5
Here, I shaded the head of the lady. I used a black pen to shade the hair on her head, the eyebrow, the eye and the lips. Lastly, I shaded the ear and gave the face some touches both with pen and with pencil.

Step 6
Here, I shaded her crop top shirt black with a pen.

Step 7
I shaded the veil she hung on her neck and the wrapper she tied.

Step 8
At this last step, I lightly shaded the skin of the lady using a black pen and pencil. I shaded the hands, the stomach and waist, the neck and the face.

✅ How long did it take to complete your drawing, and how do you feel about it?

This drawing took me approximately four (4) hours to make it complete. It took me this long because I was too careful using the pen as mistakes can not be corrected.
