Truth be told,no doubt, there are some days we can't just forget anyhow, no matter how much time passes. The picture above shows me and my friends at the Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses taking a selfie. We took it exactly one months ago, after the regional convention ended. In fact anytime I look at it, I remember everything that happened that day like it was yesterday.

The announcement for the convention came months before, and from that moment, we started preparing. We were all excited to enjoy the convention. To be able to meetup and not to Miss the convention,i made my plans and schedules early, also arranged my transport, and ironed my clothes. It was a special day to learn, to grow, and to be encouraged. I did all my best not to Miss out.

On the morning of the convention, we all met at the Assembly hall. Everyone was looking sharp, clean and neat. There was a lot of laughter's and smiles on people faces. Our brothers and sisters from different places, all gathered around together.

The program started, and from the first talk, we were fully focused and joted some point down. The speakers were clear and encouraging. The videos touched our hearts. The heart touching interviews from our different brothers and sisters reminded me that we’re not alone in our struggles in life. I took notes, and shared quiet glances whenever something really hit me deep. However, for me I must say ,it was a great day filled with wisdom, comfort, and strength.

After a while the long awaited hours finally came which was the breaktime. So during the break, i shared the meal I brought with my friends, discussed what we had learned so far althrough the teaching hours, and laughed over small things that we remembered. I saw my old friends, and also I made new ones too, and enjoyed the unity that comes from being part of a loving congregation.

Finally,as the long awaited and interesting convention came to an end, i didn’t just want the day to finish just like that without keeping any memories. So that was when one of my friends said to me, “Let’s take a picture to remember today.” Mad with that taught on my mind I laughed because I was about telling them to snap,so we all agreed quickly to snap a picture.

We chose an area near the entrance of the Assembly Hall where the sunlight was bright and good. We stood close to each other. I ask them to coun —“One, two, three”—and we smiled and I took a selfie .That one click captured everything: the joy, the peace, the friendship.

That particular photo still means really a lot to me. It brings me good memories of the early morning preparations I did to meetup the convention, the hearttouching talks from the speakers, the food we shared, and the deep conversations we had althrough the break period. We encouraged each other,we laughed, and we promised to keep applying what we have learned so far in our daily lifestyle.
