SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 54

This picture brings me the memories of one of the happiest days of my life. Yes, you heard it right!. However, it was during our last regional convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses. No doubt, these particular day, which I'm talking about now, was really full of joyful moments and sweet memories. I couldn't hold on to take a picture that means so much to me. And every time I do look at this particular picture, I remember everything that really happened that faithful day.

That early morning, I was really very happy, which made me wake up with excitement. I did my best to dressed up great and nice, making sure there were no stains and everything was clean and neat, including my cover shoes . I was going to meet many brothers and sisters in the convention, whom I haven't seen for a while now. I really appreciate God because the weather was so clear and good, and the weather will be much better for photography.

When I reached the convention ground, I saw so many familiar faces that I haven't seen for a long time. In fact, people I grew up with back in the day, and also people I do see online on social media and chat with, were there. We really laughed and talked like we missed each other for over a decade. Truth be told, it really felt like I was among a big family reunion. The love was so very real, and the smiles on people's faces were everywhere.

In the morning program the talks were great and understandable. And also the speakers shared Bible messages that really touched our hearts very well. I really learned many new things that helped me grow spiritually. I looked around and saw other brothers and sisters nodding too to confirm that they understand all that has been taught. And seeing them smiling really makes me feel the love and togetherness. We were all feeling the same joy and encouragement.

After the morning session, we had a short break. And that was when I got the chance to use my phone on some beautiful shoots of pictures as seen above. After we finished snapping the pictures, it was at that’s moment when the food session came in. And oh! I can't forget this set of joy that the lunch period so brings. The food was something else I cannot forget easily. Our brothers and sisters brought different kinds of meals.

They cooked different delicious meals and brought them ,like Jollof rice, fried rice, puff puff, moi moi, egusi soup, semo, and even delicious coconut rice, which was my favorite. I don’t know how I managed to taste almost everything there, but I did it. And I enjoyed every delicious taste of it all. We sat together and shared the foods.

When the break period was finally over, with all our stomach being full we went back to our sit. The afternoon session continued also with more talks, interesting interviews, and dramas. However, even till now, truth be told when I sit down and recall what happened that day, I feel really refreshed, encouraged, and proud to be part of such a loving spiritual family.

Now, about the picture I took. It was during one of those joyful moments. I was standing with some brothers and sisters, smiling wide, and my family members. You could surely see the happiness in our faces. That particular photo captured everything about that day,the love, the unity, the joy, and the peace we all felt that day. However,it’s not just a picture on my phone. It’s a memory I will always carry along with me.

If you’ve ever had a day like this, you will surely know how special it is. And if you haven’t, I hope this story will make you too look forward to one. Because sometimes, the best moments in life are the ones we shared with people who truly care and love.
