Prove yourself as the best artist for the week

Good day to you all and I wish you all a wonderful day, it's @emmaboy23 and I am here once again to participate in this contest organized by @dequeen titled :"prove yourself as the best artist for the week",and today I have came up with another pencil drawing featuring a pack of wolves as my entry stay tuned. Art has always been my refuge—a way to express thoughts and emotions that words often fail to convey and that's why I love drawing so much. This piece, created with simple tools and a lot of patience, represents more than a technical exercise; it is a tribute to the strength, unity, and raw beauty of wolves. Here are the step by step process.

Drawing materials

• pencil
• A4 paper
• eraser
• sharpener
• black pen.
• ruler

First I made a light sketch of the first wolf in a bending position, then I drew some details and the fur of the wolf

Next i drew the second wolf behind the first wolf which I have drawn. I added the fur and some details to the second wolf as well.

After doing that, I then focused on drawing the third wolf as shown below, then I also added a little shading to my wolf drawing.

At this step, I then used my black pen to add dark lines to my drawing.

After that, I then used a 2B pencil for richer darker shading to add details and texture to the wolves. The fur was particularly challenging. To give it a realistic texture, I used short, directional strokes and layered them gradually, creating contrast where the light would naturally fall.

After completing that part my pencil drawing was finally complete and below is my final result with a selfie of i and my drawing

This contest reminded me why I love drawing—how a single pencil can create depth, emotion, and story. The experience was more than just about winning; it was about pushing myself, honoring the beauty of wildlife, and being part of a creative movement that celebrates talent and passion. And also this post was supposed to be written yesterday according to the date but due to my busy schedule I was unable to complete it that's why I posted it today and I hope you all like my drawing for today.
