Prove yourself as the best artist for the week.

in Steem Fashion&Style4 days ago (edited)

Greetings to you all and the wonderful members of this community, I am @emmaboy23 a guy who loves to draw and today I am here once again to showcase another of my drawings through this contest titled "Prove yourself as the best artist for the week organized by @dequeen. Creating a pencil drawing is more than just sketching—it is about expressing thought, energy, and character through lines and shading. Today I chose to draw a bold, muscular man figure that radiates strength, style, and confidence. In this post, I will walk you through the artistic choices and techniques I used to bring this drawing to life, all while keeping the work original.

step by step guide

step 1

First i started with the face, although less detailed than the body, the face was essential in delivering the personality of the drawing. I emphasized the eyebrows, gave depth to the eyes behind the glasses, and shaded the beard area to add maturity.

step 2

Next I began to draw the body of the man , including adding his muscular structure and his ribs as well.

step 3

After doing that, I then used my pen to outline my drawing as seen below.

step 4

Using a combination of 2B, 4B, and 6B pencils, I started adding depth to the figure. The muscles were shaded with curved strokes to give them a three-dimensional feel. I shaded darker around the underarms, along the inner arms, and between abdominal muscles to create contrast and depth.

step 5

After that, I added loosely shaded pants, drawn with darker strokes and folds to create a fabric texture. I included finer details like veins on the arms and skin creases around the shoulders and abs.

step 6

Finally, With the pose in place, I refined the contours of the figure. Using an HB pencil, I darkened the key lines: the head’s outline, the shoulder bulge, biceps, abs, and the clenched fist. Special attention was paid to the anatomy, exaggerating the muscles to give a comic-style, heroic look. Below is my final result.

Completing this drawing took focus and layered shading, but the result was worth every stroke. This pencil drawing is a testament to how much emotion, energy, and skill can be poured into black and white art. It’s not just a display of strength on paper, but of the strength of the artist’s will, focus, and imagination. Hope you all enjoyed my post for today and that's the end of it.
