SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 45

On this day 21/07/2025 mark one of the most remarkable day in life. The day I received a my first portrait as a gift.

It was so special because it all came from a very special person, people who truly appreciated my effort, impact and presence in their life during my stay in the university.

This gift was presented to me by my students, I was really in full surprise and excitement.

Some gifts goes beyond their physical form they carry meaning, emotions, memories, and the invisible threads of love and thoughtfulness and this one has it all.

On my sign-out day, I received such a gift a portrait. But to call it, from my students That frame held more than just my image; it held the journey, the struggles, the victories, and the unspoken gratitude of my academic life.

When I unveiled the portrait, my heart skipped a beat. There it was a beautifully crafted image of me during my Teachers Registration induction, captured with such artistry and depth. When I set my eye on the portraitr, am seeing appreciation and love. That frame told my story in silence. It was a frozen moment that echoed loud

My students who gave me that portrait didn’t just hand me a picture. They gave me a timeless treasure. A reminder that I am seen, that I am celebrated, and that my story matters. That portrait wasn’t created overnight. It took thought, care, and intentionality. And that’s why it remains so special not because of how expensive it was, but because of the heart behind it.

The porttray reminded me of the the victory and joy that comes with hardwork, I saw the nights I stayed up reading through the portrait. I saw the mornings I rushed to class hungry but hopeful. I saw the tears I wiped away in silence and the prayers I whispered when no one was watching. I saw appreciation and the gratitude of my students, the love they showed was massive.ç

Since that day, the portrait has not only found a place on my wall but also in my heart. It’s more than decoration; it’s inspiration. Whenever I look at it, I remind myself of how far I’ve come, and how far I can still go. It’s a daily reminder to never give up, to keep growing, and to always be thankful.
