Prove yourself as the best artist for the week (Lucky Luke)

Lucky Luke
Let's time-travel forward to the year 1987, where Lucky Luke is entertaining both kids and adults. A cartoon character that fights injustice in the wild west.
In today's best artist for the week contest, I will be drawing one of the iconic moments in the Lucky Luke series, when he proves to be faster than his own shadow.
Try not to think about how realistic that is, because you may end up with a free headache.
Let me tell you how it happened. Lucky Luke's shadow is up against the wall when all of a sudden, his shadow initiates a quick draw showdown against him, but in less than a blink, Lucky Luke turns with a lightning draw and deadly accuracy, hitting his shadow with a clean hole through the wall. At this, the shadow rolled down and he jumped over it and blew off the smoke from the barrel of his revolver, then spun his gun around his index finger, then smoothly holstered it.

Drawing Procedure |
---|
Step 1 [Preparing the Canvas]
I had to get my paper ready. A plain paper, laid down as landscape. Endorsed with my username.
Step 2 [sketching and structure]
I started the drawing from the head down. I scale the drawing to make sure it fits well into the paper. At this point, I have drawn Lucky Luke from his head down, and the upper body is now ready.
The structure for the main character is now complete and is standing on its legs.
At this point, I added the shadow on the wall
The sketch is now ready for some shading and colouring.
Step 3 [Shading and colouring]
I started shading the shadow on the wall.
I have now added some light shade of blue to the wall.
At this point, I was shading the black areas on Lucky Luke, mainly his hair and jacket.
Now adding colour to his boots, shirt and his bandana.
His trousers have a touch of blue.
Step 4 [Finishing]
It's time to take a selfie
Conclusion and Invitation
I had always wanted to draw this cartoon character and these moments are a dream come true for me, and I am so happy the colours I am experimenting with are giving me some good vibes.
I am inviting @rubee2as1, @eliany, @simonnwigwe and @josepha to express themselves by participating in this contest.
