Now talking of online dating we shouldn't forget to mention social media, infact the one thing that really brought about online dating is the introduction of social media to us

This according to my own understanding can be best describe as the process of using social media to express and share emotions and feelings amongst persons for the purpose of building a more meaningful relationship.

Now discussing on the matter's of online dating it spread across the advantages as well as the disadvantages which will be discussed below 👇🏽;

Advantages of online dating

---

You know a friend on my once told me that he is in a perfect relationship but my greatest surprise was that he managed to secure the relationship in the first place through Facebook.

• So in other words online dating helps a person to be able to reach out to our soul mates

• Social media helps a lot of distance relationships to keep in touch and also allow such a relationship to thrive and survive the distance and the burden of being separated

^{You know there's this couples I saw on tiktok a long time ago, the guy was from Nigeria while the lady was a white lady, they found themselves on tiktok they started chatting and doing live video together though for a long time and people were even sending them money to sponsor their union so as to fly in and meet the guy and finally they met and shared it online}

So to say that online or should I say that social media as a whole helps connects people by linking the right person to you.

Disadvantages of online dating

Some of the disadvantages of online dating are as follows;

• Online dating is dangerous because it exposes a person to potential fraud and scams, a lot of people this days are being scammed easily in disguise 🥸 of being in love

• Online dating comes with a lot of disappointment, because for a fact a person will only fall for a profile not knowing what follows behind

• Some online dating are being built on a lie which would later leads to disappointment when they decide to meet

• Sometimes it could be very funny as a guy may see a nice girl's profile and start throwing romantic words at meanwhile for a fact the person behind the profile is actually a guy and not a girl.

Dating online is very risky because of some of the above mentioned dangers involved but despite that it is still an effective way for some people to reach out to who was meant for them (soulmate).
