Today, in today's post, it is all about a process of my friend a mentor to me here on steemit @bossj23. I am sharing my quick process of my friend's picture. I use HB pencils to draw the image. Below are my steps and the materials I used.

I didn't start my the drawing with my name and date because I got carried away by the drawing, but I included it at the end.

I started with a small sketches that made the face to stand out a bit. I begin to mark three light oval lines for the heads one in the middle slightly higher and two on the other side. I began adding some lines to the neck and rough shoulder shapes. I kept these first marks very light so that I can be easily adjusted. I also added hands that linked to the cheeks.

Before I moved over to the next step I made sure that the face was completed remaining on the facial features.
I began by adding the facial features on the left side of the face, did they same thing for both the one on the center and on the right hand side I drew a soft collar line to lock the head/neck position.

The next steps was the refining of the contours, I went back over all three heads, correcting the jaw lines, hairline guides, and ears. I made a Cleaned drawing at the shoulders, and made the arm connections clearer. I went ahead to erased any extra lines that were no longer needed

The shape of the hand was the next thing I did, divided each mitt into fingers with light lines .I indicated the knuckles notches and the curves where the fingers press the cheeks

I moved to the cloth my boss wore, I added small overlap lines where the arms cross the bodies to create depth. I took up my 2B pencil and traced the final edges with confident lines. I did some light tone shading under the chins, along the necks, and under the fingers to show contact. I shaded the hair and gave him a little beards, design the teeth, lips, and everything. Lastly I used tissue to make the face look real, some side lighter and darker.

How long did take to complete your drawing and how do you feel about it

I took me exactly one hour to finish the image, at least I tried and I felt happy that I made something out of it

I got my inspiration from my friend. The bond we share since when we were in secondary school gave me the urge to put pencil to paper and try to draw it. It is not about capturing the image into the paper but the connection we had, the support and the presence of him truly matters.
