Greetings Splendid Individuals

I hope you all are doing well. I am also very well Alhamdulillah. Some days are shiny and happy and proud, and you remember them forever. Today was one such day. I knew that day was going to be a great one from the moment the sun came up. I woke very early, excited, because I was going to my first Summer Graduation Ceremony and President Parade 2025 an amazing event that carries added significance for me because the man in my life was participating in the formation fly-past.

I have attended the Winter Graduation Ceremony before and this was my first summer one, but the buzz surrounding the day cannot be described. When I came to know that this is a formal occasion, I picked up a saree and made it with a formal look. We got ready and proceeded to the parade ground, where I met my bhabis, we laughed, and we took pictures all day.

And it was thrilling to see the new batch of Air Force cadets graduate. To see them standing taller and prouder with dignity on their face as they received their new rank was amazing. Their marching parade spirit filled my heart and I seriously wouldn’t have minded marching with them myself.

But the glory of the day, the sight that made my heart swell with pride, was the fly-past. I waited in anticipation, staring up at the sky, for my husband’s helicopter to take off. Then came the moment — his name blasted through the loudspeakers as he was announced as being part of the helicopter formation. Hearing him called and watching him fly was the most emotional, prideful and joyous moment of my life. The live reflection of him, was indescribable—my heart was smiling.

We had more photos after the grand parade, went to the banquet hall for graduation snacks. I went home drained for a little rest, confident that the day was not yet done, my husband went back for the official photos on the parade ground.

The night twinkled with its own special magic, a party unlike any other. For the grand dinner and culture program, I wore another beautiful saree. The whole base was sparkling with shining lights, and everything looked like it was taken from a fairytale.

We snapped more photos, got to watch the fantastic performances of the newly graduated officers, and enjoyed a delicious meal.

A DJ show was organized to close the evening on a musical note. How wonderful to see the officers and the cadets dancing together, dancing for their success with unadulterated joy. It was clear from the smiles on their faces, A night of achievement, pride and unity.

At the end of the night, as we walked out of the venue, we left with our hearts so full of gratitude, pride, and love. It wasn’t just a graduation—a ceremonial transition it was an affirmation of dreams realized, efforts rewarded, and the can-do culture of the Air Force family. Oh, this day I will never forget it as one of the most beautiful experience of my life.
