Betterlife -The Diary Game |24th September, 2025 |“Embracing the Warmth of an Ordinary Day”

Greetings Splendid Individuals

The weather has been relentless but I’ve made hydration my good friend by never being without water or refreshing. I had one of those quite, lovely days that simply make one thankful for all the little good things in life.

My day started, as it always does, with motherly duties. When I had freshened up and gently kissed my little one awake, he still lay a shade longer than usual. After he got dressed, we sat on the balcony together and inhaled the sound of fresh greenery all around us as the cool breeze swaddled our discomfort with heat. With no outdoor relationship goals on the horizon, I was looking forward to a whole day spent at home half playing housewife and half chilling with my baby.

The morning continued by cleaning my room and loving my balcony garden. There were also a few plants that looked pretty wiped out from the sun, so I trimmed off their dried leaves and watered them. In next to no time the balcony appeared fresher and more alive.

I then headed to the kitchen, made myself lunch and treated me with a cold mint lemonade. That little “juice session” was a joy break in the midst of my day.

There after the shower and prayer, followed by lunch, came the tranquil afternoon snooze, a minireward for the work accomplished in the morning. Afterward, we were refreshed and decided to hit up the swimming pool. My babe’s eyes lit up when he saw the water. He loves the water and we try to indulge him in it each weekend. It’s pure joy to see his excitement and cheer him on as he learns.

Later on, when evening settled back at home I engaged in another endeavor: Getting the the ultimate timing for my homemade pizza. I was happy that I succeeded and hearing them smile, and say how nice the truck turned out topped it off. We shared that hot pizza together.

I just feel grateful to the opportunity in life Today gives us. Whether I’m in the garden caring for a growing thing, watching my baby swim with joy or whipping up a meal that feeds everyone without us having to get away from our table, there is always some little glint of love and connection. Our regular days may seem unexciting but the ordinary days are most extraordinary days.
