It is said that Peepal and Banyan trees should not be cut. In our Hindu religion, we have always heard that the Peepal tree is the abode of gods and goddesses. Our ancestors and Lord Brahma reside in it. Therefore, we never cut down Peepal trees. It is also said that whoever cuts down a Peepal tree will soon face bad luck in his home. A Peepal tree grew in a house near our shop, and its branches were so large that they were hanging over his room. He called a laborer and had the branch cut from the room. His mother died just a month later. Hearing this makes us even more terrified.

Just two or three years ago, a Banyan tree grew in our part of the house. At first, we didn't recognize it as a Banyan tree. We simply assumed the lower portion was closed and no one lived there, so the wild trees were growing. But our neighbors across the street said it was a banyan tree.

Even after hearing this, we didn't pay much attention. A year passed like this. Slowly, the banyan tree began to grow. It had only grown a little tall, just branches were sprouting. But these trees don't take long to grow. Whether it's a peepal or a banyan tree, its roots spread throughout the house. Wherever it finds a way, it tears through walls and makes room for itself. We were worried about how to remove the banyan tree.

We asked several pundits, and they said, "Perform a puja with milk and curd, then remove the tree, and then plant it somewhere in the woods on the outskirts. It will find a place."

But even then, we were afraid. They say cutting down peepal and banyan trees harms the house. In this fear, we asked someone, and days passed. Then one day, my brother-in-law came to inspect his house. The people in front of the house said, "There's a banyan tree growing in your house." He immediately pulled it down and threw it away. As I watched from the terrace, I burst out laughing so hard that we were planning to do some puja, some ritual, and here he was, and he just pulled it down and threw it away.

Similarly, right now, in our neighborhood, a man had a 150-year-old peepal and banyan tree cut down because he had just bought the land. For cutting down such old trees, because people there used to worship them, they were very old. The entire neighborhood is condemning him, and everyone is talking about their own opinions. Many are saying that bad times are coming for him. In times of destruction, wisdom works in the opposite direction.

Thus, many beliefs are prevalent in our Hindu religion, some of which are connected to rituals, rituals, and deities, and how nature should never be disturbed. When nature is provoked, humans cannot tolerate it.
