2025 Club World Cup Semifinals

The four best teams have secured their places in the semifinals of the 2025 Club World Cup. The four teams are three European representatives, namely Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and one Conmebol representative, namely Fluminense. The only Brazilian representative, Fluminense, qualified for the semifinals after eliminating Asian representatives Al Hilal. In the match which took place at the Camping World Stadium, Fluminense won with a narrow score of 2-1 through goals from Matheus Martinelli in the 40th minute and Hercules in the 70th minute. Al Hilal was only able to reply with one goal through Marcos Leonardo in the 51st minute.
Meanwhile, Chelsea advanced to the semifinals after defeating Palmeiras with a narrow score of 2-1. Chelsea's two goals were scored by Cole Palmer in the 16th minute and Weverton's own goal in the 83rd minute. Estevao Willian scored Palmeiras' goal in the 53rd minute. The 2025 European Champions League champions, Paris Saint Germain qualified for the semifinals after defeating Bayern Munich with a score of 2-0. PSG's two winning goals in the match held at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium were scored by Desire Doue in the 78th minute and an injury-time goal in the second half (90+6') through Ousmane Dembele. Bayern Munich had scored a goal in the last minute of the first half through Dayot Upamecano, but the goal was disallowed by VAR for offside.
Spanish giants Real Madrid became the last team to qualify for the semifinals. In the quarterfinals, Real Madrid defeated Borussia Dortmund with a narrow score of 3-2 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, on Sunday (6/7) early morning Western Indonesian Time. Real Madrid led with a score of 2-0 until normal time ended. However, in injury time, Borussia Dortmund came back by scoring two goals in reply through Maximilian Beier and a penalty from Serhou Guirassy. Kylian Mbappe scored the last goal and led Real Madrid to the semifinals of the 2025 Club World Cup.
