State Senior High School 5 Lhokseumawe, Aceh: My Beloved School Where I Work

A school is a formal educational institution where students learn under the supervision of teachers. Schools provide a structured environment for students to acquire knowledge and skills, and to develop their character. Schools must also provide a comfortable environment for students, as they become their second home after home. The environment should be a place where students interact with peers, teachers, and school staff, fostering social relationships and developing interpersonal skills. Schools play a crucial role in developing students' individual potential, both cognitively and attitudinally.

Every school must provide various supporting resources, such as facilities, learning materials, and teaching staff, for a successful teaching and learning process. Adequate facilities will ensure the achievement of school learning objectives. Of course, achieving these objectives is impossible without adequate facilities. In our beloved country, Indonesia, the government prioritizes the provision of much-needed school facilities and infrastructure every year. Although this requires significant expenditures, relevant parties consistently strive to provide and complete facilities in every school. This is because the government has a significant responsibility to meet school needs.

As a teacher, I understand that school facilities are a crucial aspect. At the school where I teach, a high school in Lhokseumawe City, Aceh, the facilities are comprehensive. I have been working at State Senior High School 5 Lhokseumawe, Aceh Province, for almost twenty years, since 2006. From the beginning of my tenure, the facilities were not as adequate as they are now. Over time, the school's various facilities have been continuously improved and well-maintained.

Study Rooms
The main facilities at State Senior High School 5 Lhokseumawe consist of 14 classrooms used by students to gain knowledge. These classrooms include five for grade 10, five for grade 11, and four for grade 12. There is also a principal's office equipped with air conditioning and a TV. A spacious and comfortable office for the four vice principals and curriculum staff is also available.

Library Room
The school where I work also has a library equipped with all types of textbooks. The comfortable library also provides other reading materials for support and is available for all students.

Laboratory Room
The laboratory room consists of one room for physics, biology, and chemistry. The computer room consists of three rooms with a sufficient number of computers.
