Dear friends! assalamu alaikum everyone.

While walking on the streets, we see various types of street food shops on the side of the road in small markets. Such shops are usually seen on the sidewalks in the city. And those who do this business are from very ordinary families. In most cases, they have not studied at all, or have done a little up to class 4/5. Such people do this business more. However, exceptions are everywhere. In this business, some educated people also choose this sidewalk business because they have no other work or no other way.

However, in this business, you can make a lot of profit with little capital. Not only is the capital small, but you also have to spend much less time in this business compared to other businesses. Today, I will tell you about Md. Azizul Islam Bhai, a street food trader in Songachha Bazar, next to my house. Mohammad Azizul Islam Bhai has been doing this business for 10-12 years. However, he started in Songachha Bazar in 2020. ‌ Earlier, he was mobile. That is, he did not have a specific place and would sit in a different place every day. But he has been doing business under a canopy next to the Sirajganj to Kazipur Highway Road in the current Gacha Bazar for 6 years.

In this shop of Azizul Islam Bhai, hundreds of people gather every afternoon to eat chickpeas, piaju, gulguli, chira bhaja, etc. He especially serves a wonderful recipe of chickpeas, bundi and chira bhaja mixed with it. People come from far away to eat his recipes. Besides, his guls are famous.

Many street food vendors do not pay much attention to cleanliness, but Azizul Islam Bhai is an exception. He is very focused on cleanliness. Small plates and small spoons are used as utensils to serve food in his shop. I noticed that his utensils and spoons are quite clean.

Azizul Islam Bhai serves all the dishes in his shop. Some of his dishes are prepared from home, and some are prepared here. For example, he prepares chickpeas from home and makes bundi from home. In addition, he brings ready-made yeast for piaju and guls from home and fry them in oil in the oven at the shop. However, by the time I went to his shop to take pictures, he had turned off his oven. Even though the oven was turned off, there was still enough heat in the coals in the oven.

The food list and price list of Azizul Islam Bhai's shop are mentioned below.

  • Chickpeas 100 grams 20 taka, 1.25 steem

  • Bundia 100 grams 20 taka, 1.25 steem

  • Onion 100 grams 20 taka, 1.25 steem

  • Fried Chira 100 grams 20 taka, 1.25 steem

  • Nimki 100 grams 20 taka, 1.25 steem

  • Gulguli big size 01 pach 05 taka, 0.32 steem

  • Gulguli small size 03 pach 05 taka, 0.32 steem

Azizul Islam Bhai always tries to prepare high quality and delicious food. I go to him in the evening about two to three days a week and eat the food he prepares. Since most of his food has to be measured and sold, he has kept a small meter to measure it.
