The hospital is located near the Shyamli Bus Counter in the capital, Dhaka(Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207) . The hospital's emergency department is open 24 hours a day.

Among eye surgeries, cataract surgery is the most common. There are nine departments in the National Institute of Ophthalmology and the hospital. The departments of cataract, cornea, retina, glaucoma and neuro ophthalmology are the most important.

I have learned a lot about eye treatment by reviewing the hospital. The hospital aims to provide free modern treatment to the people of our country.

The hospital was built in 1989. In addition to providing medical services, the hospital also has a training system. The hospital plays a very important role in the field of eye treatment in our country. More than sixty cataract surgeries are performed every day. In addition, various types of physical examinations are free in the hospital. There is a large area in front of the hospital with car parking facilities. Vehicles carrying patients enter the hospital from one side and exit through another gate by the rules and regulations.

The Ansar force works as the security of the hospital. There are security guards in each unit of the hospital. The hospital has a group of trained nurses to provide medical services. In addition to the higher training of the hospital's doctors, modern eye equipment has been used. The security department works to ensure that the villagers do not face harassment when they come for eye treatment.
