History: Bangla Academy was formed in 1955. The National Literature and Culture Museum was created to preserve the traditions and culture of the Bengali language for future generations. The museum houses books and the history of writers from different countries, including the Bengali language. The memories of people who contributed to the culture of our country and the Bengali language have been preserved, which provides an opportunity for the next generation to learn history.

All the activities and events of Bengali literature are held inside the Bangla Academy. The Ekshey Book Fair is held here for a month. Today, a book fair has been organised on the occasion of the July Uprising. There is a Nazrul Manch in front of the museum where a stage is arranged for artists during the event. I have seen the name of Nazrul Manch in books and papers since my childhood. Nazrul Islam is the national poet of our country. The Nazrul Manch has been built under a giant banyan tree. The banyan tree is huge. Various types of literary events are held under the banyan tree.

For book lovers, there is a library in Dr. Mohammad Enamul Haque Bhaban. In the library, books by our country's writers are available for free and are sold at affordable prices. The books are arranged all around. Book lovers have the opportunity to read their favourite books from the books lined up. There are four administrative people in the library to look after them. After choosing a book, the price can be paid to the person at the counter. A few chairs are provided for reading books. There is an opportunity to sit and read in the library without buying books.

A memorial has been built in memory of the martyrs of the language movement in 1952 for the Bengali language. Salam, Barkat and Jabbar, among others, have sacrificed their lives for the Bengali language. In front of the museum, there is a memorial museum for the martyred heroes. Some students were killed in a firing by the Pakistan army in 1952 for speaking the Bengali language.

There is a green lawn in front of the National Museum of Literature and Culture. The museum building is three stories. In front of the building, books are being sold at the book fair by some of our country's renowned publishers. I entered the book fair and looked around at some of the stalls. Book lovers are visiting the stalls and buying their favourite books. I find some of my favourite books and read for some time.

You must obtain permission from the security department to enter the National Literature and Culture Museum. Now that it is a book fair, there is a security post inside the museum. Apart from the books of our country's writers, I found some scientific books. Books give joy to our minds. I used to read history books when I was a student. I came to the National Literature and Culture Museum and read books and learned about the cultural history of our country.
