in Steem For Bangladesh21 days ago (edited)

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen. Welcome to steem-atlas. Today I'm here to participate in the fourth week of the Atlas-based steematlas-s25w4 engagement contest hosted by @willeusz. I'm going to review my city's museum here.

One of the traditional architectural and historical monuments of Bangladesh is the Mahera Zamindar Bari Museum, which is located in the Dubail area of our Mirzapur Upazila in Tangail district. Our visit experience on June 8, 2025 was absolutely exceptional and enjoyable. For publication in Steem-Atlas, I visited various sections of this historical place and would like to present its description through photos. Below is a detailed description of the activities of each section, showing a view of the main building of the museum. A large Bengali logo has been created next to the museum.

Since it is a museum of the landlord's house, the entrance ticket to the main landlord's house is BDT 100 Taka and 7 STEEM approx.

SOUVENIR PHOTO SECTION

This section is one of the most enjoyable parts for visitors. In the pictures below, you can see some memorable moments of the ancient era transformed into a gate. Tourists can take pictures in various poses standing at the place or inside and outside the landlord's house.

Some are standing in front of the building, some are inside the gallery made in ancient style. This photo section is basically a place to capture memorable moments with family and friends. There is a medal of the Independence Medal there which has been permanently kept for all to see.

There are some artists of the ancient era who have preserved the pictures of the landlord's house. There are also women who are collecting water from the well. Such scenes have been drawn by a talented artist to show the future people. Some historical moments of the officers of the former law of Bangladesh have been written.

Some pictures of the evolution of the police have been left there so that people can understand how the police dress and activities were in the ancient era. All the moments of the police activities have been captured here. Besides, pictures of the buildings of the landlord's house have been arranged to show the visitors how they were before and how they were after renovation.

WEAPONS STORAGE SECTION

An exceptional attraction of the Mahera Zamindar House Museum is the armory section. You will be a little surprised when you see that room because it had a very designed ceiling above. There was an adjustable fan on the side to circulate the air in the room. Ancient swords, guns, spears and other various defensive equipment used by the Zamindars are preserved here.

If you look at the pictures, you will understand that each weapon is carefully kept in a glass showcase and there is also a tag with the identity of the weapon below. This museum is not only a proof of the security system of the Zamindars, but also a wonderful historical experience for the visitors. All the weapons and defensive equipment have been kept there.

ANCIENT LANDLORD'S TOOLS

Various items of daily life during the Zamindar period are displayed here. If you look at the first picture, you will understand that it was a swing. Here the king and queen used to spend their private moments and it is a vehicle for spending comfortable moments. However, there is a warning written there that it is forbidden to sit on the swing. Then if you go ahead and go to a room in front, you can see some more interesting antiques.

The next pictures show wooden couches, huge mirrors, ancient chests, urns, chairs and various furniture. Each item has beautiful craftsmanship and adequate measures have been taken to protect them. Visitors come here and not only see ancient traditions but also through them, a picture of the life of the Zamindar is embedded in their minds.

Apart from that, there are pots, glasses, and other items used by the landlords. Among them are the drinking vessels, ghatis, some money used by the landlords, wooden bhimas used in the landlord's house, musical instruments used in the landlord's house, etc.

Since all the items are from ancient times, they have been preserved inside the classroom so that no one can touch them. These are kept as a heritage to present ancient civilization to future people. Apart from that, there are plates, glasses, and old household items used by the landlords, which are invaluable assets in the present era.

DECORATIONS & SECURITY SYSTEM

This part basically bears evidence of the modern management of the current museum. If you look at the decoration of the museum, you will be very surprised because it has been decorated with a very modern design. In addition, as a security measure, the entire building is monitored by CCTV cameras and there is a modern alarm system in the important corridor.

A police officer always sits guarding the main room and he has a weapon. In terms of decoration, the lighting has been arranged very beautifully which turns the entire landlord's house into a dreamy palace after evening. The texture of the walls, the ceiling craftsmanship and the chandeliers are all a combination of tradition and modernity.

STATUES OF POLICE OFFICERS OF VARIOUS RANKS

Since the Mahera Zamindar Bari Museum is currently under the jurisdiction of the Police Training Center, there are portraits or statues of officers of various ranks of the Bangladesh Police. If you see these statues face to face, you will be completely surprised. You will think that these are real people.

In the picture below, you can see various sculptures, from high-ranking police officers to ordinary constables, standing as a reflection of courage and responsibility. It is an inspiring area for visitors, which instills respect for our law enforcement forces. Every policeman and law enforcement officer stands silently because they are statues.

All the visitors who come to this museum are eager to take pictures with the police. Especially the girls are more interested in taking pictures with the police. Each policeman has a medal of valor in front of his pocket. The dress code of all the policemen of the ancient era is clearly explained here.

A statue dressed in black law clothes placed its hand on my shoulder. Maybe he wants to convey some message from ancient times to me haha.

During our visit, each section was informative, clean and well organized. The museum was open from 10 am to 4 pm. The location was easy to find using Google Plus code and Atlas code. The parking facility was spacious and the greenery was beautiful. The view from outside the museum was beautiful. It is built in a very European style. You can take as many pictures as you want. It is completely cleaned at the beginning of the year.

Mahera Zamindar Bari Museum is a shining example of the history, heritage and architecture of Bangladesh. This museum carries the memories of the ancient Zamindar period, and through modern management, security and presentation, it has become a modern educational travel destination.

The magnificent architecture of the main building, the collection of armory, the ancient equipment used by the Zamindars, decorations and security systems, sculptures of police officers and the photo section all together make it a unique destination for history and culture lovers. It is an ideal center of education as well as entertainment for all tourists. That is why I went there and reviewed it in detail and presented it in the atlas. I am very happy about that.
