Rajshahi University Central Stadium, Rajshahi

Hello friends, welcome to the fifth week of the engagement competition. Today I am here to participate in the wonderful Atlas based engagement organized by @solaymann. This week's theme is Steemit Challenge Season 26 Week 05 - A favourite sports or leisure facility. So I will present to you the stadium of Rajshahi University.

The Central Stadium of Rajshahi University is originally known as Sheikh Kamal Stadium. This stadium is located on the east side of Rajshahi University, which is a multipurpose sports and event center of the university. It is the only central stadium of this university. All the sports of the university are held here. There is a huge gate in front of the stadium where the word University Stadium is written.

After entering through the gate, you will see two great people who guard this stadium all the time. If you are an outsider, then you must tell them that you are an outsider. I said we are outsiders, but there was a student of that university with me because our Abhinandan had entered inside. When you enter from the main gate, you will see the exit gate, which is always locked with an iron gate. This stadium is very secure, where only students can play.

After entering the main stadium, you will see a huge field where all kinds of sports are held. There is a huge gallery straight ahead from where you can see the entire scene. The seating capacity of this stadium is about 25,000 people. It is very suitable as a large and complete stadium for the students of the university. Some sports are held in this university annually or monthly, for which seating arrangements have been made for all the students. It was built in 1973, at a cost of about 2 crore taka. The entire field is covered with green grass.

However, due to the political situation in Bangladesh for the past few months, it has not been possible to conduct sports properly. However, I have heard that in a few days it will be re-opened as an annual sports venue. In the past, it was the venue for important sports competitions, sports and socio-cultural events of the university. Now there are huge trees next to this stadium that provide protection from the sun. In the afternoon, sports are sometimes held in this stadium, especially cricket and football. Whether it is a sport or not, this stadium is always kept clean.

Now if you want to know its current situation then I will say that currently the stadium shows some signs of neglect and it is often empty because regular big events are organized less now. But the biggest stadium among the universities I have seen is this Rajshahi University Stadium. I heard from my friend that every month a huge sports event is held in this stadium which is known as the University National Sports. All the students of the university participate in this. Then the entire stadium is decorated with the help of decorations. The seating arrangement here is very nice, you can get together with your friends and enjoy all the games here.

In Bangladesh, most football and cricket games are played in this stadium, so these two games are also popular. I noticed additional seating arrangements around the field in addition to the gallery. Especially during big events or concerts, which often serve to accommodate additional spectators beyond the seating capacity. There is a steel canopy at one end of the field where additional players sit to participate in their next game. There is a seating arrangement so that a player can comfortably prepare to play.

If you want to know about the dressing rooms of this stadium, then I can tell you something briefly. According to the latest information received from the people, the dressing rooms, showers and toilets have been upgraded or newly renovated. As part of the popular 10-point demand, especially for students and players. A few days ago, students of this university had a movement to update their stadium. Since then, the dressing rooms have been updated, especially separate dressing rooms have been arranged for girls.

This stadium is only for students and has electricity and internet connection at all times. It is closed only on Fridays. Although sports are very rare at present, students organize sports here every afternoon. There is a committee to maintain this stadium and there are security guards to keep it clean. If ever this field gets dirty or garbage is thrown, it is immediately removed. However, as a conscious citizen, a mobile dustbin has been kept there so that all students can throw their garbage in that dustbin.

Many of you may have visited many universities or visited many stadiums, but if you want to watch any student sports, then you must come to this Rajshahi University Stadium. Because university students are very talented players. To watch their games, you must be patient and come to the stadium on the day of the game. You do not have to buy any tickets to come to this stadium. You just have to come to Rajshahi University from Rajshahi Bus Station. I went there with my friends and presented you with a detailed idea about the stadium.
