Hello friends, How are you all? I am also fine, Alhamdulillah. I am here to share my entry with all of you in the 5th week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge, season 26, where our teacher @suboohi presents the SLC26-W5 - "Fried Appetizers". I am very happy to participate in such a beautiful challenge. Moreover, I feel like I have learned a lot by participating in this lesson. Many thanks to our teacher, @Suboohi ma'am, for arranging this beautiful lesson. Anyway, I tried to follow every rule of this lesson and prepare my project. So let's start.

1- What do you understand by Fried Appetizers?

Food prepared by frying in oil is very tasty. Many of us are very attracted to food fried in oil. Fried items are loved by many. It is great to eat fried snacks in oil for breakfast or an afternoon snack. It takes a lot of time to make snack items. Fried snack items usually play a very important role in children's tiffin or afternoon snack. However, even though fried items are not good for health, we still give more priority to our choice.

2- Make any one fried appetizer from given recipes in detail step by step withpictures . You can add filling or ingredients of your choice too .

I have selected a recipe from the recipe shown by our teacher. Which I like a lot. Today I will share the recipe for making samosas with you. I made samosa by following the exact steps shown by our teacher. And I have shared my recipe with you here. Surely you will like it. But here I have made this recipe by following the rules shown by our teacher. So let's start without further ado.

Ingredients for Dough:

IngredientsQuantity
wheat flour2 cups
oil3 tbsp
black seed1/2 tsp
Salt1/2 tsp

Dough Making:

First, I took flour in a bowl, added black cumin seeds, salt, oil, and enough water to make a nice dough. I pressed it well with my hands to make a nice dough. Then I left it to rest for 30 minutes. If I leave it like this, the dough will set very nicely.

Ingredients for filling :

Here is what I need to make the samosa filling.

IngredientsQuantity
Beef mince20 gr

garlic1/2 tsp
Salt1/2 tsp
cumin powder1/2 tsp
coriander powder1/2 tsp
turmeric powder1/2 tsp
garam masala1/2 tsp
cardamom, cinnamon2/3 pic
bay leaf2 pic

Making:

Step1

To make the filling, first I put some oil in a pan. I put the minced meat in it. Then I added all the spices that I used here and chopped onion on top. After adding everything, I stirred it well and cooked the meat for some time.

Step 2

When the minced meat was half-cooked, I added the chopped potatoes. It tastes great when you put potatoes in the samosa. So I used a mix of minced beef and chopped potatoes here. After the samosa filling was made, I took it out in a bowl.

Step3

I made a round roti by taking a small ball from the prepared dough. Then I cut it into four parts with the help of a knife. Then you can see that I took one piece and joined a triangle-shaped piece of roti from the bottom.

Step4

Then it looked like a pocket. Now I put the filling of my choice inside it. Then I folded it. You can see the step-by-step process of folding the samosa in the picture. In this way, I made many samosa.

Step5

After making all the samosas, I fried them. I put enough oil in a pan for frying. Then I dipped the samosas in the oil and fried them nicely. When the samosas are fried until they are red, they become crispy and taste great. Once it was fried, I carefully removed it from the plate and, as per the rules of the challenge, wrote my ID name and the date on a piece of paper. I took a selfie with it in my hand.

Who would you like to share this delicious appetizer with?

Samosa is a very delicious food. Everyone in my house likes it very much. I have made samosa and shared it with everyone in our house. My children love to eat it. They eat it with great fun. Moreover, it is very nice to share any food made at home with everyone. I make it often. I think it is much healthier to make Samucha at home than to buy it from outside. It is a very tasty food for an afternoon snack.

I would like to invite some of my friends to this contest. They are, @asma-khan @rumanaafroz @miftahulrizky
