Hello friends, how are you all? I am also fine, Alhamdulillah. I am here to share my entry with all of you in the 5th week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge, season 26, where our teacher @suboohi presents the SLC27-W1 - "desserts from grain.".I am very happy to participate in this dessert-making challenge. I will try to participate in every week of this challenge. I really like dessert items. Our golden mam shared two lessons with us. I have selected one to participate in this competition. I have made semolina. Moreover, I often make semolina at home. My children love to eat it very much. Anyway, let's start without further ado.
Do you think desserts are important at special events?(1 Mark)
Yes, I think any special event cannot be without sweets. There must be some kind of sweet item. Moreover, different types of dessert items are prepared in yellow during wedding ceremonies. Any kind of event, birthday, or wedding must be sweet items. Without this item, the event seems dull. Moreover, the people of our country often take sweet items to each other's houses during special events. Even when guests come, we prepare many types of dessert items. Dessert items are also very popular in hospitality in our country.
Make one of the recipes that are shared in the course with a detailed step-by-step procedure along with images. (7 Marks)
The ingredients I used to make semolina are.
- semolina,
- sugar,
- cinnamon,
- oil and
- a certain amount of water.
STEP1

First, I put a pot on the stove and added a little oil to it. After the oil was hot, I added two pieces of cinnamon to it and added semolina. Stir the semolina well and let it fry. After frying, I added a certain amount of sugar to the semolina. Many people like it sweeter, and some people like it less. After adding sugar, I felt that the sweetness would be a little less. Then I added a little more sugar to dilute it
STEP2

---|
Anyway, after adding the sugar, I stirred it for some more time. Then I added a certain amount of water here. If you add less water, the semolina becomes hard. So you have to add a certain amount of water here. After adding water, you have to stir continuously. Otherwise, the semolina will form lumps.
STEP3

After stirring continuously, when the water had dried up and it seemed that it had cooked, I turned off the stove fire. Then I arranged the semolina and bread on a plate for the children. My kids really like to eat this halwa.
STEP4

I arranged the semolina beautifully on a plate. Then, as per the challenge rules, I wrote my ID, name, and date on a piece of paper. I took a selfie with it in my hand. I did not use any colour here. I made this halwa without color.

SEMONIL
Semolina is a very beneficial food for the body. It contains minerals, proteins, fibre and vitamins. Eating semolina increases digestion. Moreover, semolina can be consumed by people of all ages. Pregnant mothers and children can all eat this food., Semolina contains iron, which helps prevent anaemia. Moreover, it increases immunity. It provides energy to the body.
SUGAR
Sugar provides instant energy to the body. However, sugar causes more harm than good to the body. Eating excess sugar causes various diseases in the body. Therefore, the less sugar you eat, the better. However, adding sugar in moderation to semolina makes it delicious. Moreover, sugar is the main ingredient in various dessert items.
