ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

Hello Everyone I Am @MEMAMUN 👳‍♀️ From #Bangladesh 🇧🇩

Today I will discuss an interesting place with you all. The name of this place is Behula's bridal chamber. Those of us who live in Bangladesh have read about the history of this bridal chamber in our primary school textbooks since childhood. Many have traveled here, while many have not yet had the chance to visit. I will talk about this place and show some pictures.

The beautiful view of Behula Dakkhindar's wedding room.

This place is located about three to four kilometers away from Exam city in Bogura district, in the northern region of Bangladesh. It is situated to the west. It is located within the Shibganj Thana, specifically in the Gokul area of Shibganj Thana. If you want to come here, you must come to this address, and upon arrival, you will definitely need to buy a ticket. If you come by car, there is parking available; separate tickets are required for individuals and vehicles.

As soon as I entered this place after buying a ticket and parking the car, you too will enter here in the same way following my process. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was a signboard that discussed this place. Some history was highlighted, explaining what the history of this place actually is. I shared the picture and also shared the English text below.

Some discussion about Gokul's Maitreya or Behula Lakhindar's bridal chamber through a banner.

GOKUL MEDH, EXCAVATION WAS CONDUCTED IN THE SITE IN 1934-36. IT REVEALED RUINS OF A 42 FEET HIGH PLATFORM CONSISTED OF 172 BLIND CELLS. ON THE FLAT OF TOP OF THIS PLATFORM A BUDDHIST RELIGIONS ESTABLISHMENT (STUPA/MANDIR) WAS BUILT IN THE FIRST CONSTRUCTIONAL PERIOD (C.6TH -7TH CEN.AD).

ANOTHER TEMPLE WAS BUILT ON THE RUINS OF THE FORMER. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE FLOOR OF THE TEMPLE WAS RAISED FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON. HOWEVER, A HUMAN SKELETON, A MASONARY HOLE (3.88M.), A FRAGMENTARY STONE, A GOLDEN LEAF INSCRIBED WITH A BULL ETC.

WERE ALSO COME OUT FROM THE ABOVE MEN-TIONED HOLE, FROM THE EXCAVATED EVIDENCES THE BUILDING APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN DECORATED WITH ORNAMENTAL BRICKS, CONTAINING FLORAL AND GEOMETRICAL DESIGNS.

For several years now, this place has been designated as a tourist center. People from all districts of Bangladesh are coming here to see such historical places. The historical buildings surrounded by Eid stones are now filled with soil. There were small rooms here, and those rooms have been filled with soil in the windows and doors. It has transformed into a tourist center with a unique kind of beauty. Additionally, there is a natural environment here with trees and lush greenery.

This was the right side and left side where we entered, and three pictures of the natural environment all around.

The area here is surrounded by walls, and small rooms are constructed above in a hill-like manner. If you want, you can elegantly go up from here. This is because the steps are arranged in such a way that we can step up, there is a ladder system in place. If I show you a picture of a wall down below, you can see that the bricks are very old. Soil is coming up through the sides of the bricks, and grass is growing on top of the soil like green.

The authorities have always presented this place beautifully and have labeled it as a tourist center. People come here to enjoy and just to see this particular area. This place indeed has a different kind of system, which historical accounts say had small houses here. And these small houses are beautifully arranged, which you might understand just by seeing from a distance. Now they are always working to keep it in beauty. There is greenery like grass and plants in some areas, and in others, there is soil and bricks. You can take pictures in your own way here, just like I have.

This place is a very small area and its attraction is this bridal room. Although there is no actual bridal room now, it has developed as a symbol, a tourist center. However, it is such a small place, and people come here just to see this small area and its surrounding natural environment. As soon as you enter here, you will see that there are many plants. There are benches for sitting beneath the trees' shade, where we can escape from the sun. And next to it, there is a parking system below, I have presented a photo.

1000010206.jpgThe bench is placed.

Many people come here from far and wide, bringing bikes, private cars, and buses to tour around. There are no shops inside this place, but since it is located along the road, there are many shops nearby. I liked this place because of its natural environment, and I always choose it as a historic site to visit and see. Because it is more important to see history with your own eyes than to just know about it. This was the discussion about this place in front of you.
